Delicious Mexican food from a quaint neighborhood restaurant. By the river on Freeport Blvd. The carnitas plate is a great choice or try the carnitas in tacos or enchiladas. My brother loves the fish fillet and orders it all the time. My mother's favorite dish is the chile rellenos because they are the most like the ones she makes. Give it a try when you are not in a hurry. The owners are sweet, hardworking people and they do all the cooking.

Me and my buddies pass up this place many times when we go to the bait shop. It's one of those where if you don't pay attention to it you'll pass it by place. We decided to stop by one day and I'm glad we did. The service is wonderful. The food is great. If you like stuffed burrito you'll like this place. My buddy who can finish 2 super burrito in one sitting can't finish the burrito here. It is that stuffed. Go give it a try

The service there is amazing, the wait time wasn't long at all. The owner is a chill and friendly person and his cooking is great. I ordered the Meat Lovers Breakfast Burrito and it tasted better than many if not all of the breakfast burritos I've had. It's huge and stuffed full, cheesy too. I loved it. They've got breakfast, lunch, and dinner items on the menu. My friend ordered the enchilada and it looked to be cooked to perfection as well. All in all, I'd highly recommend it for any of the three meals of your day. If you don't eat here at least once while visiting Sacramento I'd say you're missing out. Definitely Big Homie approved.

Pleasantly surprised by the food at this little "hole in the wall"! Everything was super tasty. I had the Steak Ranchero which was covered in tomatoes, bell peppers, grilled onions and garlic. I definitely recommend it! Even the rice which is usually bland at many Mexican places had a lot of flavor. This is a family owned/run place and while it might take a few extra minutes to get your food, it is worth the wait.

This place is great. My friend and I were literally the only people there. No AC and the drinks came out of a can, not fountain. BUT the food was amazing! I'm from socal so I'm definitely a Mexican Food snob and this is the best Mexican food I've had since moving to Sac. The owners were super nice and very attentive. I'm bringing all my friends and coworkers with me because it's worth it.

Great little find! Owner is more than willing to accommodate customers within reason . I wanted a chicken stuffed chili relleno, it wasn't on the menu but he made it for me, no problem. That's customer service. I'll go back anytime I'm in the neighborhood.

My husband had the carnitas and they were absolutely delicious! We go to Mexico often and these carnitas were every bit as good as the ones we get in Mexico. They were seasoned perfectly and full of delicious pork without that big hunk of fat that usually comes with carnitas. These were not fatty or greasy but perfectly seasoned and delicious. I had the chicken enchiladas and my aunt also had the chicken enchiladas. They were full of chicken and had some the best enchilada sauce. My aunt wasn't even hungry and said she was going to need a box to take it home but because it was so good, she finished everything on her plate and even ate some of the tortillas that came with the meal. I would recommend this place to friends and family. We will definitely go back again. There is free parking out front. The place was very very clean. The bathrooms were spotless.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars for their food, but as a family run business, it's best to call ahead to check the wait time and availability of your favorite items. They are close to the new Delta Shores shopping center and the best Mexican I've had in the area. Easy to miss when you drive by it

After driving past Mi Pueblo more times than I can count, my mother and I decided to stop in and give this place a try. It's practically open 24/7 (okay, not really, but they are always open when we pass by), so we stopped in here for a late lunch the other day. Now, I love Mexican food, I mean LOVE, but I always have the hardest time figuring out what to eat! I don't know if its because I love almost everything or because I'm incredibly indecisive, but I have come to the conclusion that the latter is absolutely not true (tee hee). My mom knew what she wanted to eat right away (she always gets the Chile Relleno), so under pressure, I literally closed my eyes and picked something. I ended up ordering the tacos from the "A La Carte" menu and selected carne asada as my protein. The gentleman who was taking our order asked how many I wanted, so I said three. I didn't know how big they would be and I was pretty hungry, so three sounded like a good number. The food took a little while to prepare, but that was alright with us because we had some time to kill. Not to mention, we were snacking away on the fresh chips and salsa that were brought to our table. Although the salsa needed a little extra salt, it was extremely light and refreshing and had a lovely little kick of spiciness from the jalapeno that was chopped up and mixed in. Once our food arrived, I was in heaven! I wasn't expecting all the toppings on my tacos, but it came fully stacked with lettuce, salsa, avocado, and lemon juice. Oh em gee!! It was soooooooo amazing!!! The meat was juicy, tender, and flavorful, the lettuce was fresh and crisp, the salsa added just the right amount of heat, the avocado was smooth and creamy, and the lemon juice added the perfect amount of tangyness to meld every single flavor into a harmonious mouthful of amazingness! Oh my, I'm seriously making myself hungry for these tacos at 8:30 in the morning! The only downside to this place is that the food is a bit on the price-y side considering there are so many other Mexican restaurants around. Each one of my tacos was $4.00, however, they were some pretty amazing tacos, not to mention rather large. I could only eat two! BUT, and this is a big BUT, they have taco happy hour!!!! Each taco is only a dollar!!! My Recommendation: Absolutely, 100% give this place a try. The food is sooo delicious and I would definitely order their tacos again. Taco Happy Hour!!! See you there!
