I've followed this place since they were at 12th and F St. I am not a pie person and I still love to see what they come up with. My late father loved their Butterscotch Banana Cream Pie, my son and I love their seasonal Smore's pie. If you are lucky to run across their hand pies, sweet or savory, get them! My most recent purchase was the Pear and Cranberry Sour Cream pie around Thanksgiving... My recommendation is to follow their Instagram to see what they are cooking!
Not a place known for their ambience as their business model is sort of an online reservation and pickup model, but bought three pies for the holidays. They were all delicious. Pies are 9” pies so be aware. Highly recommend any berry pie and the key lime pie is amazing as well
The white chocolate peppermint pie is one of the best pies I have ever had. Absolutely amazing!!!
Whenever I bring a pie from The Real Pie Comes to an event, everyone wants to know where it came from. I’m so happy we have such a delicious pie baker in Sacramento! I can’t just recommend one pie—they are all delicious. I do hope they have the lemon buttermilk pie once the season is in.
Out of the way & weird hours but the Pie is great! Had Coconut Cream pie today. The cookie crust had Coconut in it, too. Cold and silky smooth with lots of coconut flavor. One of the best Coconut Cream pies I've had in a long time. Now, let's work on location folks...
Delicious chicken pot pie. I must say I prefer a slightly thicker gravy for the filling but this is definitely not lacking in taste! Upside-down pear/cherry cake is ridiculously tasty and their hand pies are huge! I would definitely come back here! They even have a suggestion box in case you were looking for something in particular for pie filling.
Pies made in-house! The butter-scotch banana pie taste just like the pie from Frank Fats if you have been, meaning, it is GOOD! I love that their pies have plenty of cream or meringue on top... just the way you want them! The lemon meringue is a must if you love lemon, perfect for hot days, very refreshing, with a blanket of meringue on top! 🥧🥧🥧
Good pie selection and pies are good, but not great. The whole pie prices seem expensive, but I’d come back for a slice sometime.
The frozen chicken pot pie is wonderful. Their apple pie always delicious. Not a bad item ever. Service is outstanding!
Amazing -- Real Pie Company serves fresh pies made from local ingredients. They make everything in house, and you can taste the difference from a grocery store pie. The bourbon walnut pie was incredible, and chock full of nuts -- no layer of "pecan pie"-style glaze at the bottom. The bumbleberry pie was similarly amazing. I brought it to a church event, and despite a small crowd and a table full of treats, there was not a slice left.
