Best pizza ever on the west coast. Tastes just like pizza from my hometown New York. Love it!
CLOSE TO THE EAST COAST. Giovanni's does a darn good job of replicating the Pie's from my native New Jersey. Though it doesn't replicate the pie's exactly....they come pretty darn close. That makes two good Pizza places within 4-miles of each other on Folsom Blvd. (the other being Roma #2). Don't get me wrong, Giovanni's is darn good, but I still prefer the Pie's at Roma's. Good, but not quite the real thing.
Awesome-Awesome-Awesome!. Greatest pizza on the west coast. Thank God they don't deliver. I would be bigger than my house, and it's a BIG house!

Amazing pizza!!!
The owner was present and working his behind off right next to his staff. He addresses his staff members with respect and calling them Mr. (with their name). The owner is from New York with Italian heritage, if this doesn't tell you the pride he takes in the food he serves. He engaged in friendly conversation with many of his customers. The restaurant opens at 1100 am and right off the bat there were multiple large orders ready for customers to pick up. I'm talking like 10-20 pizzas per order.
The restaurant is clean spacious and comfortable seating.
The pizza fresh, hot, ingredients full of flavor and plentiful. There are toppings in every bite. I probably did the most despicable thing for the new yorkers but I asked for ranch to dip my delicious pizza in and I'm not sorry I did. The ranch was full of flavor and one of the best I've had. I overheard the owner telling some other customers that he makes the ranch from scratch.
The customers all seem to be repeat customers. I will be back and bringing others to enjoy it with me.
They offer online ordering and judging by all the tablets they must be on most food delivery sites.
I recently visited Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria in East Sacramento and let me tell you, this place is the real deal. You know it's a killer pizza joint when you can be completely satisfied with just a slice of cheese pizza. And let me tell you, I was more than satisfied. I was cheesin' from ear to ear.
I have to warn you. The sausage, pepper & onion pizza is Mmmmmagnificent! I couldn't help but do a little happy dance with each bite. And the folks working there are so nice, I almost wanted to invite them over for a pizza party. But be warned, don't burn your mouth. The pizza is hot and delicious, but you don't want to end up with a burnt tongue like I did. It's not a good look. And the employees are so busy, you know they're making fresh pizzas all day long. Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria is a slice above the rest. Just be prepared to leave with a full belly and a smile on your face.

Pizza was super good! They also had decent local beers on tap. We ordered wings and they were pretty bomb too. Restaurant had an open seating situation. Kinda weird feeling but not too bad. Definitely recommend this spot for good pizza and beer.
Delicious! We got two small pizzas to go and a few wings. All came out amazing. The pizzas we got were the Da Bronx Bomber and the Pineapple Pie (only took the photo half through). The service was quick too. We came in to pick-up an order we placed ahead of time and we were out within 5 minutes. Love the wall art as well! Great place with great food. Support your local businesses.
This place never disappoints! From the smell as you walk in the front door to the delicious calzones, pizza and mozzarella Bread balls you are not gonna find a better tasting pizza. The only negative if you can call it that is, it takes a very long time, so call an order ahead. To be fair, I think everything is fresh. So what's going to take longer but it does take it very long time!
First time here.. Really pleased..a authentic NY pizza. Had a medium and did half festa di italia and half gorgonzola and paired it with an arugula salad, which was good enough for a meal on it's own.

Great if you dine there with fresh pizza but this is not the kind of pizza that you enjoy reheated or even semi cold. Very crunchy but borderline overcooked in my opinion. But that the style of this pizza. Maybe I'm just not a fan of thinner crust pizzas overall but to me it's seemed like a burnt and thin pizza. Place also gets very busy during weekend nights. Don't expect your pizza any sooner than an hours wait.
Pizza was fantastic! We got the medium classic Giovanni style pizza. Perfect portion for two and just delicious.
This place is old world traditional pizza pie. So good, so friendly, so memorable an experience. I'll definitely be back!!
Excellent pizza 🍕 and great 👍 beer 🍺 too. Restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating in and outside. The customer service was good and it was an overall decent experience. A bit warm inside but they have ceiling fans that could use an upgrade as some were a bit wobbly. Nevertheless, we will be coming back!
