I thought the sandwiches were amazing! What a great find in downtown Sacramento!!!!
You have awesome sandwiches and I'll be back again.
A small sandwich shop with lots of choices. Many of my choices were sold out, hence the 4 star review. I heard the chicken breast sandwich was delicious but it was sold out. I ordered the turkey & avocado sandwich on sourdough (Dutch crunch was sold out). FULL of fresh sliced deli turkey, avocado slices, lettuce and tomato. Delicious!
Great food! I ordered a breakfast bagel with sausage egg and cheese it was wonderful. A simple sandwich done the right way.
I drove by Pennisi's the other day and remembered I used to get a 3 pasta salad sampler plate from this place like almost 10+ years ago. I thought I'd come in and check to see if they still had something similar to that. Surprisingly, everything still looked the same and they still have the 3 pasta salads I chose long ago. I'm happy I don't live in the area because my carb intake would most likely increase 1000% because it's that good.
Best deli in Sacramento. Friendly staff and generous portions
Lox bagel is my favorite. Turkey avocado sandwich is delicious as well.
Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and great sandwiches. I had the Turkey and Avocado sandwich. It was perfect and made just right.
Excellent turkey avocado sandwich! The bread roll was surprisingly really good? The rest of it was good too but the bread was surprisingly great! Sometimes sandwich roll bread is a cardboard flavored afterthought....
Glad I stopped in for a quick breakfast. The bacon, egg and cheese bagel was just right. Two types of roasts available for coffee and a complimentary Andes mint... My favorite. A nice, family run market and deli with seating.
Great spot for breakfast or coffee! The Ham, Egg and Cheese croissant was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. Also, the mocha latte was made with care and was excellent. Pennisi's will be a regular stop for me whenever I visit Sacramento.
Really good sandwiches! got the California chicken with turkey instead of chicken on a Dutch crunch had pepper jack cheese, avacado and Sprouts was really good. The price though for the sandwich was $10. The little plastic containers of fruit salad were $6 and the fruit was not anything special and there wasn't even a significant amount of fruit insise of the plastic container. The non mustard potato salad is really good and so is the orzo salad I definitely recommend both.
Lots of drink options like flavored sparkling water, kombucha, sodas and juices. They have everything from Italian foods, European chocolates to Modern American chips and snacks like quinoa and cheese chips. They also have a hot food area with lasagna. The two gentlemen who ring you up are not very welcoming but then again they are trying to handle the lunch rush. Overall a delicious experience with an authentic Deli vibe. There are places you can sit inside the deli but not too many tables.
