Best meal I've had in years. The staff was amazing. Very helpful. I got exactly what I wanted and it was better than I expected. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back.
Definitely didn't let the name down. Totally different from their fancy restaurant but equally delicious. Enjoyed their short ribs with poached egg for brunch. Nice spicy Bloody Mary. Hostess and wait staff were friendly and attentive. Not nearly as busy as I feared it would be for a Valentine's Day Sunday brunch which was nice. Good place to meet up with friends and enjoy a meal and chat.
Just visited for a quick appetizer and drinks and was very happy with our experience. The appetizer was good, and when I asked the bartender for a mocktail he made something really delicious!
An absolutely incredible dining experience! The service was impeccable and the food was some of the best I’ve had in Sacremento.
This is perhaps my favorite place in Sacramento. I’ve been here 7 or 8 times in the last year since discovering it and have never had a bad meal. I’ve tried multiple items on the menu and all have been wonderful. At the same time I really do enjoy how Hawks changes not only their food menu but their drink menu as well. The only one real downside is that the restaurant itself is rather small so it’s a bit crowded and loud on busier days. However, that is a minor detail compared to the great food and drinks that the friendly and helpful staff create and serve.
Chill vibe, delish food, and amazing drinks. Our waitress was very kind and checked on us several times if we needed anything. The pasta was fresh and sauce was creamy, it was such a good plate, I wish I had more!
Cool for a laid back night with not too much commotion.
Great atmosphere
Drinks were delicious

Classy place with good American fare. I really liked the pork chop and also highly recommend the Brussel sprouts. Service was exceptional 👌 and everyone there was very knowledgeable. It does get a little crowded, but that can add to the ambience. Expect to pay at least $45 per person.
I don’t know why it has taken me so long to get to this amazing restaurant. The drinks were great, the starters were awesome! I thought the crispy Brussels were just going to be like all the others I have had, nope! An egg yoke is dropped into the bowl table side made something already good even better. The steak was great and pasta was delicious perfect texture. Prices are reasonable of course add cocktails and wine with dinner the bill will jump up but let me tell you it’s worth it!
Absolutely love this location, the granite bay location is further and more upscale but the public house is a great spot for mid-upscale vibes and great meals. Chef is very accommodating to those who have a vegetarian diet so long as you ask your server they will indeed make something special for you. I have always felt very satisfied after dining here. The cocktails are some of the best in the city as well. I recommend reservations on weekend nights.
Old man Beltwater lost his Mojo and asked me to help him find it, so being a good friend I came out to Sacramento from Napa to lend him a hand. He tells me of this restaurant called Hawks Public House and how great the food is, and it was there that he may have lost it. Well, I didn't believe him until he started telling me about how great the service is, and particularly about his favorite waitress that has him spellbound. Beltwater then says we've got to eat there and while I'm keeping her busy, you can get my Mojo back ...she keeps it in her apron pocket. We had a great dinner at Hawks Public House, and believe it or not...old man Beltwater got his Mojo back ☆☆☆☆☆
Brought mom here for Mother’s Day and had a wonderful dinner. Asparagus starter was delicious! We had the swordfish, rigatoni and burger. All were very good, the swordfish may have been the best, but I loved my rigatoni too!
