A moment of opportunity. Don't let it pass you by. One of Sacramento's genuine Gem's. Over 35 year's Adam has given all the best a person can expect in a dining experience as an owner operater. One of the few places left here, where you feel a sense of pride, dedication, and true comfort in the local neighborhood. Nothing last forever. P.S. Love the hand written receipts. How cool is that!

Excellent, excellent, excellent service, food, and ambiance. It is patently clear from the conversations throughout the restaurant and kitchen that the attentive owner and staff care deeply about the dining experience of all their guests. The experience is worth the high price point. I will certainly return if I am ever back in Sacramento on a weekend.

A little on the pricey side, but it's hard to complain about this place. The head waiter is very entertaining, his assistant is very attentive. It's a romantic atmosphere, also good for birthdays and other celebrations. Most of the parties that were there on the same night with us were also celebrating.

I went with my partner for our anniversary. The service was kind and prompt. Our server, who I presume is the owner, came and took our order while offering jokes and positive vibes help making it feel intimate and homey. The physical menu is small, but there is a large specials menu that is verbally spoken. Additionally, they offer "anything you can find nearby we'll get it".
We got a mushroom appetizer off the menu, a pasta special, a salmon special, a bottle of red wine and a chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Every meal was scrumptious and had us wanting more.
This restaurant feels like a hole in the wall, but don't be fooled as it's marvelous!

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was original and delicious and the kind of meal that makes you want to savor every bite. The owner Adam is a true artist and so charming. He makes you feel like family. I will definitely be making this my go to place for dining out and be recommending it to all my family and friends. First time visitor. I immediately loved the atmosphere and the handsome manager/ waiter the was funny, professional and had an excellent knowledge of food preparation. We enjoyed crab cakes and another appetizer. According to my son, his ribeye was cooked to perfection and he rated it better than Morton’s which is his go to steak house. We had deseet, fabulous and small little glasses of hot melted chocolate which was a pleaser all around. We will definitely be back. One of the most relaxing evenings in a long time, i highly recommend.

Food was fantastic. This place literally blew my mind. The owner is the person giving you the menu and the paper is just something you could look over before he shows up. His specials are what he gets everyday when he goes to the market picks things up and brings it back and if you have a craving that's not on the menu or his specials he'll figure out a way to get it for you.
This is a place you would love to go to. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but the food is wonderful. Yes it's a little dark inside, but I honestly feel that it contributes to the atmosphere of the place. It's not a place that will have a DJ playing music, live band on stage or having music drowning out the loud noise. It's a place that is cozy and give you a nostalgia feel while serving you some of the best food.
Don't trust a review and just judge it for yourself. Go in there and experience it first hand.

Amazing like always! We have been coming here for a few years now and it never disappoints! Food is delicious and full of flavor! Service is amazing and super attentive!
