We went for Sunday brunch. The service was friendly from out waitress- very personable! My friends got the fish and chips and the crab roll. They said it was tasty, but fish was a bit dry. Sauces were delicious! I got the salad which was yummy. Their drink selection is vast! The vibe is more like a date or friends brunch. Not so much kid vibe, but still you can bring the family!

We had a great experience here. The waiter was great and gave excellent recommendations. The famous sourdough cheese bread was perfect. It was so delicious. It was the only food we ordered. The traditional lemon drop with Titos was perfect. I would definitely go back for those 2 things anytime.

Solid food with great portions. Great seafood with a couple of solid choices for vegetarians. I had the impossible burger 5/5 which was hearty and deeply filling. Lacked a punch of flavor though. The crispy fries made up for it. Other dishes I tried were the off menu stir fry veggies 5/5. Suuuper good. I almost wished I ordered it. Probably the best option for vegetarians. Sea bass 4/5 was solid but again, lacked flavor punch. Sweet potato fries 5/5 were crispy and well seasoned. Cheesy bread appetizers 6/5 are to die for if you like cheese and bread. Overall nice place with excellent staff. The outdoor seating is way too hot though. Don't do it if it's a hot day... I'll be back though!

I will say the food is personally not super impressive on my part, I was a bit sadden no pancakes on the menu and sweets for brunch were limited. Now on savory foods, they have a very of different tastes some Latin influences like chorizo. I feel the atmosphere made this place very memorial for myself. Make sure to get the patio seating to enjoy the Sacramento River

What a great place. Better than the trendy restaurant next door. Good food, great Sevice and excellent food. Not priced too high. The manager even fixed a meal for my wife in consideration of her food allergy. Just a nice crew with an excellent view of River. Outside venue and they also have a nice bar. Parking is on the street and in a garage.

I had the best server named Kevin He was one of the best and most attentive servers I've had in a while. I ordered the loaf cheese bread. It's nice flavor combination and didn't overpower the cheeses. I also ordered the shrimp and grits as my entree. I loved it! The flavors were spot on. Loved the peppers and onions and the crispy bacon 🥓 bits of goodness. For dessert I had the key lime pie. It was very good and I also wanted to try the peach 🍑 cobbler. Next time for sure. Great views of the river The menu changes seasonally. You might want to call to see if that item you want is on their menu.

Beautiful setting on the river. All of our meals were perfection, delicious, and the service was above and beyond. She knew her menu, made helpful suggestions and was attentive to our needs without being intrusive. The sourdough cheese loaf is amazing if you like cheese infused, crusty sourdough with balsamic dip. I highly recommend Rio City Cafe for any occasion.

Tried Crab melt and house mimosa. Delicious food and refreshing mimosa. Outdoor sitting is lowkey underrated. 10/10 recommended.

Rio City Cafe's neat place to go and have lunch and be on the water in Sacramento Old Town. My last visit was Father's Day. The ahi nachos are fantastic. The salmon is always delicious. And the berry pudding is delicious as well. The food is great the service is fantastic. It's a bit pricey If you compare it to other restaurants serving equal quality food and service with the same type of atmosphere and setting. Expect to pay five bucks for bread and that will not include any refills or additional pieces of bread. Other than that it's a great place to eat, socialize and enjoy the atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

This place is quite enough to enjoy the evening in the Sacramento river side. It was a few days ago and that was my first time there. I liked the foods, the moods, and their services.
