Best in the area, the options are amazing for me since i have a gluten intolerance. Staff is accommodating, owner is always welcoming which is always on the floor as well as the staff. Pick up orders are always hot. Quick service. I could not recommend them enough. When I’m not at work in the area i would drive the 20 minutes just for the food. Highly recommend!

Service was very slow, food was bad. They got almost all of the order wrong even after repeating it to us. They even put the order in a handheld computer. A receipt prints it out, they didn't seem to check it to make sure we got everything. They missed two orders of bacon. Put raisins in the oatmeal, when it should have been bananas. The croissant should have gotten home fries, not potato chips. We were there almost two hours total. Took 10 minutes to get our drinks. Took 25 minutes to take our food order. Took over 45 minutes to get the food, another 30 minutes to get the check. We asked if one item could come out first as that person had to leave for work, it still took 20 minutes after that. The cream chipped beef was sweet, it should not be sweet. The chocolate chip pancakes were the only good thing there, but those are hard to mess up. The owner or manager (whoever it was), couldn't just remove the missing items from the check, just discount the equivalent amount off the bill. Either they don't know how their system works, or something fishy is going on there, not sure what it is. Maybe the problems were due to it being Father's Day, maybe there were other issues going on. But it is definitely not my favorite place to go. Probably won't go back there again either.

Long wait for initial waitstaff contact after seating. Did not get silverware until after we asked for it after receiving coffee. Took 15 minutes to take our order, another 35 minutes to actually get our food, which was lukewarm at best tending towards cold. For breakfast, no special requests! Our first visit, will not ever be returning.

Very rude behaviour from the manager... Once we entered the cafe our kid was playing with the jelly. He cake to the table and took it away very rudely. We did not like the way he behaved. We had ordered the food already so we did not walk out. At the end we did not give tip. So the manager came out and yelled at my husband. He insulted us very badly. Adding the reason for the below comments from the owner. If that was you concern you could have told in nice way.... You were very rude while take. Now since the topic is in public you are using nice words. By the way people TIP when the experience is good. After being treated badly I don't think we had to tip. Kid was just playing and I am sure he didn't cause any issues there. You just overreacting to it. After all these treatment do you think we come back.... Joke!

Liked the "Mexico City Omelette" Special so much, I ordered it again! Really do hope they add it to the regular menu. Great selection, great taste, great value, great atmosphere. A great place!! Sooo glad to see new ownership here at this excellent location. Looking forward to eating outside too. Definitely a winner for breakfast, brunch or lunch!! UPDATE: WOW! 4 years since this review, and MAN has the owner & staff really done a great job ... even thru a pandemic. IMPRESSIVE!! What a great place for the community & regulars, inside & outside. Definitely returning soon to enjoy their WONDERFUL patio menu. Well Done, Lakeview!!!
