Love El Jefe! We have been eating here since it was El Comer off of main Street (before the fire). I love the food and the family that owns and operates it! They always remember us and greet us when we come in! One of my family's favorite restaurants!!

WE LOVE IT!! This is our hometown Mexican food and Harry are Irene are like family to us! Our daughters first job was working at El Centro downtown Rowlett. This is our very favorite place to eat! We have catered with them too and it was exceptional! You can’t go wrong eating with this amazing family!

First time eating there was great! Harry, one of the owners was extremely nice and delivered to us within 15 minutes. Food was great and an excellent price as well, I definitely recommend the margaritas!

I'l give a 4-star, but it's more like 3.5. Good food, average service. Not a ton of seating room, no bar seats, no outdoor seating. Salsa is kind of lame. Chips are good.

Finally tried El Jefe and was pleased. Kids had the chicken strips and fries and wife and I shared an enchilada, taco plate, tamale plate. Very filling. Good margaritas too.

Absolutely amazing. Best salsa and chips I've ever had. Tortilla soup was wonderful. Lots of flavor. So far haven't had anything that I wouldn't order again.
