Laredo's Restaurant

I am giving this place two stars today because we had a terrible experience. There was five people in our party and none of us had a hot meal. Everything was barely room temperature. I think they forgot to fire up the stove. Normally this is a good place. Some in our party wanted to send the food back but others said "you know what happens when you send the food back to the kitchen". Of course even if we wanted to send the food back we couldn't because our server was nowhere to be found. He was a very friendly guy but not very attentive at all. BI just asked for a box and heated it up when I got home and ate it. The food was very tasty when it was hot. I might be back again but I'm not sure.

Do not be fooled by the location or view from the outside, this place has the best civiche in the north western suburbs. The freshness of the ingredients can be tasted in every bite. Homemade salsa and chips are not overwhelmed by salt. Drinks are not water downed and beer selection is adequate. Staff are friendly and efficient. Only draw back is lack of more fish dishes on the menu. Steak fajita was excellent and well seasoned. Give it a try, won’t be disappointed.

I gave 2 stars, one star because it does have nice ambiance and the second star because the food came out fast, however, I did get there pretty early and I was only 1 of 2 people there at the time. I thought the food was HORRIBLE! Very bland and forgettable! I think they mask how little meat they give you by covering your dish with lettuce and cheese.. The waiter was a nice guy but only came by once which was to drop off the food, left me one napkin! . I love authentic Mexican food and I tell you, this was none of that! I will NEVER go back to this place to eat. Stick with Cilantro which is maybe a half mile away.. I'm still angry I wasted money on this food!

Went there after picking a friend up from the airport. I ordered a 9$ appetizer and an 18$ maim course. Portion sizes were huge and I couldn't finish either. My server, Carlos, did an amazing job and was prepared to help us with questions about traffic. The restaurant itself had a very welcoming aesthetic. Will definitely come here again next time I have a flight coming in or out of O'hare.
