A & J Hot Point Hot Pot

If you are a first time hotpot eater, this place is “ok”. If you have been to other chinese hotpot restaurants, this place is a disappointment. Dinner hot pot was $19.99 per person. They stopped having lower price for cash I believe, since we paid cash and there were no discount. We came during downtime on a Thursday night. There were 2 waitresses. They didn’t seem very enthusiastic, but they wasn’t rude or anything. Don’t let the menu fool you. We asked for the menu and the waitress flat out said “what do you want to choose, just tell me there are only 4 things”. They have very very limited options and the self-serve bar was not that fresh. There were flies flying over the food. The broth was good but you can get premade packaging at chinese super market that taste just the same. The beef they bring out was fresh and tasty though. I know this might not bother people but omg the setting inside the restaurant is awful. The chairs and tables are so uncomfortable. Chairs are metal and when you stand up or sit down it makes awful metallic scratchy noise and it makes my hair stand up. Anyways, that’s it.

Came here during the downtime in the afternoon and there were no problems with the service The food is pretty good too (people seem to be angry at the service). Buddy and I got the ying yang pot, I got the chili with 4/5 level of spice. My soup is more like a dipping sauce but it goes well with the meat. Good variety at the self-serve bar Giving it a 5 because of these people making me miss out on this not so bad place for too long based on these reviews stars. I personally believe this place should be around 3.8-4.3 based on comparison with other places though

If I can give this place a 0, I would. Worst hotpot place I have ever been to ever! Food is very bad (i.e. shrimp not fresh, limited variety, beef slices were very fat, food out in the open with flies hovering around, etc.). The service was very bad as well. This is an all you can eat place, but after the first round of meat, they intentionally take forever to fulfill your second order. Also as soon as they found out you are going to pay via credit card, they give you an attitude. Terrible food and worst service. What kind of owner would allow this to happen at their restaurant?

It was a bad experience for all you can eat buffet. There was only beef, lamb and pork belly. It was only 4:45 pm and they were out of chicken. The beef was very fatty. There was no longer any quail eggs or spam. There was only 2 vegetable choices. The service was not good either, we ordered more meat and was never brought the meat. The waiter didn't fill our pot with broth and he was no where to be seen in the dining area. Bad all around.

Hello guys! Today is my first time here with family. It’s a small Japanese restaurant, but it is and has: - service is good - quite place - reasonable price - food is good with the price It was a good time for me! I definitely come here again if everything still be good and improves. To the Hot Point, I like your place. Wish you have long live and service more customers.
