Always been my favourite shop in Rochester , the man who works there has been there since I was a child and is always so nice .
The fudge is to die for too and they have a great selection of American snacks!

Lovely sweets shop selling all manner of classic English bon bons, fudge, and more. Staff are nice and might even strike up a conversation with you about Depeche Mode deep cuts!

The Candy Bar is a wonderful sweet shop in Rochester, selling a variety of sweets and chocolates, both traditional and new. They have a huge selection of fudges, which are amazing and delicious. They have different flavours, like rocky road, vanilla, and caramel. My favourite is the vanilla, which is smooth and creamy. They also sell local products like honey, jams, and juices. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the shop is bright and colourful. The prices are reasonable and the quality is high. I would highly recommend The Candy Bar to anyone who loves sweets and fudge.

I went there today and both the ladies were lovely and the man , they were so helpful and kind and they went above and beyond for me and made me up Easter bag treats and even got lots of choices of coloured ribbons to tie them up with , they were so nice picking out the chocolate eggs I wanted and helping me with the jelly beans as they had to refill it. Lovely sweet shop , have been in there about 3 times now and never had a bad experience, I love sweet shops like this one.

Lovely nostalgic place for anyone from Medway, and cute visit for anyone not.
The range of sweet treats available has remained strong over the years, with many import sweets available from the states. Their wall of jam is well worth sampling, and the vegan range has increased quite a bit in recent years.
Shall always be returning again!

Great little find. Smallish store but absolutely choc full of fudge, old fashioned sweets in tubs, packaged chocs, sweets, and American candy. A varied selection. Great location too being on the main high street and near the cathedral and castle.

I hadn't been to Rochester for at three or four years. I love the fudge at this place. I wish I knew where else to buy it, as it costs a lot of money to get to Rochester from Borehamwood. Disappointed that they didn't have the Christmas cake fudge like they did the last time. I hope one day I can order online from The Candy Bar.

Love, love, love this candy shop! Visit everytime I’m in Rochester to pick up a sweet treat for the trip back to London. Firstly, it’s a roomy shop - you’re not squeezed in a narrow lane trying to reach for a packet of Twizzlers. Secondly, the variety is excellent - something for all..US and British sweets and something for vegans and sugar or dairy free dietary requirements too. Thirdly THE FUDGE. Fourthly, the prices are half what you find in other tourist destinations..this is appreciated and means of course we can all buy an extra chocolate bar.
The service is with a smile. Highly recommend on your next trip to Rochester
