Highly disappointed in the customer service I received at The Home Bakery. I placed an order for Christmas Eve and verified their hours online. Upon arrival, the bakery was closed. I emailed and called immediately and no one responded resulting in no dessert for my holiday party. Additionally, there wasn’t a courtesy call given which I find odd, especially on a prepaid holiday order. Even the confirmation email did not have hours listed. The extremely rude manager called me 3 days later to tell me their cancellation policy. I reiterated that I did not cancel and their lack of communication and transparency on hours is the reason the order was not fulfilled. The email confirmation and online hours were not accurate and it was not posted anywhere on their building. The Home Bakery is not reliable, flexible or empathetic. Instead of trying to resolve the issue they offered for me to pick up 5 day old bakery items, cleary not caring about the quality as a first time customer. I recommend going elsewhere. I am all for supporting small businesses and there are way better options that care about their customers. My order was $116. Very minimal refund that could have avoided this poor experience. The Home Bakery ruined my holiday.

Had great experiences with them until this last time. I had placed orders several times before (for Paczki Day, for Thanksgiving and Christmas) through their website and picked up those orders with no issues. Until this last time, when I placed an order for cake in plenty of time for my child’s birthday (more than a week in advance), arranged payment (my debit card was charged), and got a confirmation email the morning of pickup that it would be ready. I got there at the scheduled time, and the staff had no record of the order, and I had to wait over an hour while they baked the cake I had ordered a week ago and paid for in full. Very disappointing considering my previous experiences.

Worst possible place to get a cake from! I ordered the cake weeks in advance and even provided the picture of what it was suppose to look like and the novelties for in top. Not to mention that we paid quite a high price for what we wanted too. Go in to pick it up and nothing about the cake was right and I mean nothing!! Spoke to someone for over 30 mins about the mistakes made and was told they would fix it and to be back the next day when the doors opened and it would be ready. Well, my husband shows up and they literally ask him “What’s wrong with it and what needs to be changed??” Nothing fixed on it and the instructions left were wrong yet again! Left is what it was suppose to look like…..right is what they gave me after fixing it. Not to mention the cake itself was dry and dense. Children wouldn’t even eat it. So very disappointing 😖 Will never be going there again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone!!

The fact that these guys delivered a wedding cake (albeit for 30-ish people) with our preferred design, and added a tier per their suggestion, all IN A WEEK, just shows that they get the job done. Yes it was my fault to not know that wedding cakes take long to make/deliver, but these guys understood and made sure we were very satisfied. Very gorgeous and delicious cake, everyone loved it, and will definitely go back here for our future baking needs.

Call me biased, but my wedding cake from The Home Bakery was the most delicious wedding cake I have ever tasted! After trying multiple other cake shops in the area, we decided to give The Home Bakery a try and I am so glad we did! Our tasting was fantastic, and the staff were kind, helpful, and patient throughout the process. They were also kind enough to meet and spend additional time with us another day to go over design planning and be sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. After postponing our wedding due to COVID, the bakery was understanding, patient, and flexible when it came to rescheduling our date. Despite my multiple confirmation emails, The Home Bakery remained responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to work with! And on the day of our wedding they truly delivered - the cake was gorgeous, delicious, and just perfect! Thank you!!

I wanna start by saying thank you for making my son's first smash cake. The cake definitely served it's purpose. He was very excited to smash his first cake. Flavor wise though I would rate this at one ⭐. The flavor one had one note which was sugar. While the cake was for a 1yr old I was really hoping for his first taste of cake to be more flavorful. Definitely over priced from what we a similar cake we ordered from another shop.
