Stopped in tonight on a whim while out with a friend. Rum punch is incredible, the pepper steak was so good I drank the juice from the sample they gave us like a shot, and the owners are wonderful people who made us feel completely at home and welcome. Will go back ASAP for a real meal.

The food was great, the service was awesome. Atmosphere is more for like clubbing, dancing, drinking then sit down. But will go again, just cause service and food was on point.

Got there and went to go inside but door was locked. They came to the door and mentioned how they don't open for another half hour. They allowed us to place a order after telling us what was on the menu. The seafood trio was very tasty. Gotti the owner was extremely nice and enjoyable to talk to

Taste of the Bahamas is one of my favorite places to eat in Rochester.
When you walk through the door you immediately feel the Bahamian vibe that you experience in the Bahamas. They are a family business and the owners make it a point to personally great each person who comes through the door.
The food is excellent and hearty. I have had their seafood trio, lobster, red snapper, oxtails, wings, jerk chicken, jerk pork, curry goat, and pepper steak. Each meal was awesome with great Caribbean seasonings. Some days they have conch salad and conch fritters. The conch salad is amazing and I definitely recommend it.
The last notable mention is their rum punch. If you haven't had it you are missing out.

Wonderful food, had the chicken wings and Mac salad. My wife had the ribs and rice and Mac salad.. we had to much food and bought 1/2 home for tomorrow. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back and have the ribs.

Amazing experience. The owner and the staff were all very nice--I've never been treated that well in other restaurants!! The food is also fantastic. Will definitely be back!

Had a ball! Great food, great portions and great hospitality! Dottie brought us dishes with 6 different samples of the menu and rum punch to start! Wow! Great place we will be back! Oxtails were great and the wings and ribs too!
