Funk 'n Waffles was great! I have been there twice now. Their selection of waffle inspired food is wonderful. They have sweet and savory waffles and bunches of sides. Prices are fair for the amounts you get. The location is fun for eating at both levels available. It is also a fun place for music nextdoor, also give two levels to watch from.

A great little cafeteria style waffle spot. Really good chicken and waffles. I am not a big coffee drinker but several or my friends are and they said the coffee was surprisingly good. Live music and performances on stage all the time. A great little find.

This is a very weird place. The entire menu is based on waffles, other than a couple of dishes like salad. Everything we had was very good. And a waffle place with live music! How great is that! If you really just want the waffles, come early, as at some point they start charging a cover. And the music is pretty loud--it's just like any other small local venue--so be aware of that if you're bringing small children. But it's great, you should definitely check it out.

I came here on a chill Sunday. Caught some jazz cats cooking on stage and got the chicken and waffles with disco fries. Delicious food and friendly people. Bathroom was gross but I would call this place an upgrade over the original Water Street.

We went in at 11 am on a Saturday. No trouble parking on the street. Enjoyed the large selection of waffles. Also were eggs and sandwiches on the menu. Everyone enjoyed their waffles. We had six different types from the menu. Atmosphere is funky. At this time, you take menus and seat yourself. Then go to the counter and place your order. When your light/buzzer goes off, you go get the plates of food. Then you clear your plates. We enjoyed coffee and Mimosas with our meals. Prices are quite reasonable. We left about noon and there was a little bit of a line. We will likely go again when we make it back to town. Evidently a big nightime place.

Excellent variety of waffles. The falafel waffle was delicious. Only complaint was the sauce was way too thick (like heavy paste) so you couldn't drizzle it out even spread it. Disco fries were delicious, and the serving size was huge even though we ordered a small. Best of all though was there lavender Earl Grey tea - Delicious!

Funk and Waffles has a laid back atmosphere good music and food. The will call ticket line opened at 7 pm. I suggest beginning your parking spot search at least a hour in advance. The music venue is separated from the restaurant by a wall. Both sides have a bar. The combination made for a nice evening. Joan Osborne, in the picture, is the musician with the beautiful soulful voice.

The vibe was chill and I loved the decor. I went to Sunday brunch and even the music after the live performer finished was great. I stayed like two extra hours after I finished eating because of the music! The food was pretty good and the service was quick despite it being busy. It's definitely a place I want to go to again and again until I have tried the whole menu!
