Funk ‘n Waffles

Excellent variety of waffles. The falafel waffle was delicious. Only complaint was the sauce was way too thick (like heavy paste) so you couldn't drizzle it out even spread it. Disco fries were delicious, and the serving size was huge even though we ordered a small. Best of all though was there lavender Earl Grey tea - Delicious!

We went in at 11 am on a Saturday. No trouble parking on the street. Enjoyed the large selection of waffles. Also were eggs and sandwiches on the menu. Everyone enjoyed their waffles. We had six different types from the menu. Atmosphere is funky. At this time, you take menus and seat yourself. Then go to the counter and place your order. When your light/buzzer goes off, you go get the plates of food. Then you clear your plates. We enjoyed coffee and Mimosas with our meals. Prices are quite reasonable. We left about noon and there was a little bit of a line. We will likely go again when we make it back to town. Evidently a big nightime place.

Food is amazing. Mamosa’s are excellent. Wait staff is friendly and adds to atmosphere of the space.

My first time ordering from this establishment; Ordered 6 chicken wings w/waffle fries, James Brownie Waffle, requested strawberries, utensil and napkins. I received a call notifying me they were out of chicken wings, so I took the chicken tenders as suggested. Food arrived still warm, chicken tenders were sorta skimpy not uniform in size; more like slender stir fry pieces-battered and fried with a couple thick hearty pieces mixed in but they tasted great. The super Large portion of waffle fries tasted great, was about 70:30 ratio of fries to chicken. The chicken Tastes different from any others I have tried but I enjoyed every bite nonetheless. The brownie waffle: hard and stiff, semi-soft in the center, ice cream was melted by the time it arrived (to the driver-perhaps a cooler bag would have helped and not place it in same bag with Hot food). I dipped the hard brownie waffle in the melted ice cream to soften it and it worked somewhat to make it edible without scratching the roof of my mouth ...I didn't enjoy it ....not very pleasing at all...but only 50% went into the trash after I couldn't torture my palate any longer. So I got dressed and drove to a nearby corner store for a little Debbie brownie to get my fix. I didn't receive the utensils, strawberries, or napkins; Not Good especially when at a work site and it was Clearly written in the order instructions which even shows on my receipt handed to me by the driver. Manager offered to correct it but they were closing soon so I guess I can try again for the brownie waffle. I will definitely order again, I will most likely dine in next time around. Giving 4 stars because the chicken and waffle fries tasted great. I will rate again ( if allowed to rate again) after trying the brownie waffle tomorrow- giving them a chance to correct it.
