Wonderful dinner on Friday evening at Roux. Highly recommend the gnoochi. From the atmosphere to our waiter (Ryan); the dinner was fantastic. They never disappoint. Thank you.

Smoked trout app was on point. Duck confit and bouillabaisse had amazing flavor development. Cozy and intimate interior great for conversation.

“Simple” food done really well, but not worth putting up with the poor service (curt and neglectful). The onion soup was among the best I’ve tried. The vegetables are treated with respect, lifted up to be the stars instead of being relegated to a side dish.

Great food and great experience! Service was awesome, the ambiance was on-point and the food/cocktails matched. Although unexpected, the burgers were some of the best in the area. Steak, chicken, and desserts were amazing. Highly recommend for a great experience, and subtle French vibe.

We liked the atmosphere and, before it got busy, the service. Got a little slow when it was busy and took a little bit to get the last item and check. But! Very lovely and delicious.

What a lovely brunch! We had a cocktail and a specialty coffee drink, both of which were perfect. We had the Camambert as an appetizer. I’d expected plain melted Camambert with some accoutrements, but the Camambert was soft with an amazing jellied fig spread with an excellent balance of fresh herbs that cut perfectly through the sweetness. For the main course we had the croque madam and the Waffle Sammy. Once again the flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of richness, acid, and flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The seating was a bit tight, yet it felt more cozy than constricting. The servers were very attentive and kind. Can’t wait to come back for dinner!

Somehow I’ve managed to never visit Roux before- I realized tonight that’s been a tremendous loss. Briefly- this place is excellent on all fronts and certainly worth a visit! Service was efficient, kind, and very helpful- I really like when the staff can provide their own personal recommendations. The cocktails were unique and quite delicious. Although not the best espresso martini I have ever had (that goes to Fin Point, in Boston, MA), this is the best I have had in Rochester. The Frenchie— let’s just say, this was enough of a reason to visit again. Appetizers were excellent- the muscles, again, are the best I’ve had outside of New England. The ricotta toast was perfect and the duck was beautiful with a nice citrus flavor. Everything we ordered was perfection— from portion size, preparation, flavoring, and textures. This will surely be a place I plan to visit very soon. I can’t get over a place like this is in my own backyard! Prices are extremely reasonable— and the ambiance is relaxed, understated, sophistication. This is an excellent place for a group or a special night out-

Duck was very good. Mussels were yummy. The garlic and ricotta toast was a very nice start. If you like burbon and coffee, you have to try the cafe social!

Lovely little bistro, great ambience, our brunch service was very good. Food was quite nice but a few issues: the "waffle sammie" is not a sammie, must be eaten with knife and fork - but very tasty. The "hash" was not prepared as a classic hash but was very good vegetable preparation. As long as you're flexible, it's fine, a great option for Rochester.

Great French bistro food. Space can get cramped and loud, but not unexpected for the size of the place and the French vibe. Not sure if they were short or not, but our server seemed a little rushed and frazzled (Saturday night rush.) Food was great no complaints

I just went for the first time last Friday and I can say I did not leave disappointed. I ordered the escargot, lobster roll and soften the blow (drink) and everything was amazing! I personally wished I’ve chosen another drink because it was my first time trying anything with absinthe (sweet medicine type taste) but it did the job. My friend ordered the mussels, swordfish and a rosé. She said the rosé was extremely acidic which is why she didn’t finish her glass but that was her only complaint. Other than our drink choices everything else was (like I said earlier) amazing! Lovely atmosphere, savory foods, and great customer service. I will definitely be back.
