Cedar is essentially a takeout place with places to sit if you feel like eating in. I took what a big chance for me: ordering a gyro.
When I was in college, there was a place (that is now closed...) that made the best gyros I've ever eaten - and every gyro I've ever eaten since has been compared to those gyros and found lacking, even disappointing. I've purposely avoid ordering one for years out of fear it would just be another unenjoyable experience. Until now!
Juicy, tender, well-seasoned lamb, tomatoes at their peak, a feta cheese sauce with some fresh and some pickled veggies. The best part was the fresh pita bread that was lightly toasted.
Small, family run. Hole-in-the-wall type place - nothing fancy. But the food is soooo good. I would give the food more than 5 stars if I could. Easily one of the best local Mediterranean restaurants. I love how they have the meat cooking on the rotating spit and it's shaved off right after you order.
Such an amazing experience! Must try place
Tried chicken platter and chicken shawarma. You can see them cook the food right in front of you and the food is absolutely fresh the hummus, the lettuce, olives, even garlic sauce was real and fresh.
The food was good quality and prices are reasonable for the serving portion.
Loved every bite.
Absolutely love the food. I suppose they could up the salt and spices a bit, but that's me. The fact you always get your food in a to-go configuration with the option to dine at an available table is genius. Most of the time I'm grabbing lunch if I'm doing fieldwork in the area, so it's very convenient.
Absolutely fantastic food!! My wife and I love the food the service isn't bad but not exactly warm and fuzzy and the atmosphere is also a little lacking anything more than jeans and a t-shirt would probably be over dressed... but it star of the show is their amazing food so fresh and full of flavor. I highly recommend Crdar!!
Cedar is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant. The homemade pita is incredible. The prices and the rest of the food was fresh and delicious. I got the falafel and grilled chicken.
Good food quality and service overall. All of my order came out quickly and everyone was friendly.
The restaurant is small but has enough seating areas to accomodate various group sizes.
I ordered take out and you can call or place an order in person.
The reason for 4-star is because I found a hair in my salad.... But this could happen to any restaurant regardless of how careful they are. And it is not something I should rate this restauramt based on my first experience. So I will definitely order from here again and I will update my rating at that time.
I recently ordered take out. They must have been preparing it as I was speaking because it was ready as soon as I finished paying. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The pita and baba ghanoush were delicious.
The food is delicious, the owner needs to work on his customer service skills, it's nothing special to look at, but the food is delicious and fast.
I have been coming here for lunch about once or twice a week.
I get either the shawarma pita or plate.
The food is amazing. I love coming here.
Bread is always hot and fresh. If you get a pita, they load it with meat and it's always ready in a couple minutes.
If you're looking for authentic Lebanese cuisine, this place does not disappoint!
Thank you to the folks at Cedars!
