Monte Alban Mexican Grill

Our first time to eat at this restaurant. It’s a decent place if you’re in the mood for Mexican food. The food is really good, the interiors are festive, the ambiance excellent, and the service fast. The staff are really courteous. Price is a bit expensive though. A glass of soda is $4.0 each. I ordered Carnitas, it cost $19.0 while my mom ordered a mix of chicken and steak fajitas which cost $21.0. Recommend this place if you’re not on a budget.

Pretty decent Mexican joint, has a variety of dishes from fajitas.. lunch specials and sweets. Not much drink choices as I'd like but everything still came out great. They do have excellent service and accommodations for a friend of mine who was on a vegan diet so that was great! She got a veggie burrito and enjoyed it very much.

I felt like I hit the lotto when I saw this place and pulled in for a closer look. I've been there several times over a month. Best Mexican food in Rochester. Found out they have three locations and I see why. Street Tacos omg. Chix/shrimp w sauces and sides off menu blew my mind, who are these people ! Lol. Runs like clock work when really busy with happy employees with no bad attitudes anywhere to be found. Presentations are amazing. Kitchen is run with serenity and good taste and excellence to quality and perfection and I am the pickiest foodie in town. If I have 4 million views on my photos on Google Maps and they read this I suggest everyone stop by and enjoy these magically chefs out. Peace. Tom Wedeman here reporting from East Ridge Road :)

This has been my favorite Mexican food spot in Rochester for years. I recently took the whole family to celebrate my birthday. My toddler was with us and had a great time! It's not always easy going out to eat with a little one but the staff was very accommodating, they went above and beyond to make it a great experience for us!

I give Monte Alban a five star cuz they're pretty consistent and still a value. I like that they start off with tortilla chips and salsa so you're not sitting there starving. I've never had a bad server. Seems like there's always a drink special. Entrees are like $17, but so is a burger and fries, and I like this better. I like it better for reasons like it's not something I'd make at home, And it may not be the greatest mole sauce, but that's also something I don't make for myself, and for some reason, I love the beans and rice there. And if that's not enough, if you ask for the hot sauce, well, you asked for it! They're always people there, and that tells me a lot.

Exactly what you would expect from a good casual Mexican place. Servers are really funny, food is ready fast, strong margaritas. I had a combo of enchilada - burrito - Chile relleno and all were great. Party of 4, everyone had different orders, everyone enjoyed what they got. I would go again. However if you are looking for more exotic dishes this is probably not what you're after, this restaurant does the more accessible Mexican food and they do it well.
