D Original Sausage Haus

I have been going to this place for years and I was always happy with the products I bought. Not today. I bought 2 Napoli sausages for $25 and they did not look or taste good. I bought these sausages before and I loved them. Today they were orange color with some mold on the outside and they tasted sour. I don't know if the store is struggling financially, like so many small businesses these days and they sacrifice quality, but I'm not sure if I'll go back again. It's really sad because I used to love this store.

My wife brought home a sampling of the bratwursts as we’ve been meaning to try this place for a while. It’s intimidating with so much selection, so the owner was very patient with her and not only described the different flavours, but answered all her questions about how they’re made, how to cook them, and what they pair well with. They started talking about family and the owner was nice enough to give her samplings of some treats, too! Beyond the warm service, the PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING! The brats were ~DELICIOUS~. All flavours were seasoned well but not too strong. Our favourites were the classic and the original/German brats. Will absolutely make these a staple and looking forward to trying more soon! 😃

They sell a lot more special charcuterie items that you can’t find at a local grocery store at reasonable prices. Some of my favourite items are the truffle salami and the black lemon cheese, which was introduced to me by Justin recently! Dana was also super patient with us and introduced us to more salami and cheese!!

I have been here many times and the sausages are fantastic but I have to say for 18.00, 6 sausages and 2 pepperoni sticks is very expensive. Honestly I don’t mind paying for quality meat but I would really expect the customer service to be excellent as well. The guy that served me today was quite rude and not helpful AT ALL. Infact I don’t think he really even wanted to be working. Thank goodness for the nice young girl that helped me. Having said that I don’t think I will be back anytime soon. Quality is great but customer service mean a lot to me.
