Royal Oak appears to be a bastion of a cozy, relaxed pub in the middle of unrelentingly trendy Richmond. We enjoyed our lunch and nicely-priced beers. Staff were very friendly and talked cheerily with our footy-mad eight year-old

Excellent pub with delicious food. Staff and Kitchen team (Dennis, Russell) are courteous and very helpful, understanding of requests for our toddler. An enjoyable dinner in the Bistro. Will return for sure. Thanks again.

We were in Richmond for two nights after covid restrictions eased. We came across this pub. Best find ever! Huge meals & the food was divine! We came here every day either for lunch or dinner. Russell the chef is a lovely, friendly character. He made us feel most welcome & boy can he cook! You won't be disappointed! We'll be back.

Travelled to Melbourne and experienced the worst customer service I have ever received. The barman was extremely rude and tried to intimidate us. Will not return and recommend a course in customer service to the Barman or a different career.
The only thing good about the place was the security guard she was lovely. Very disappointed.

The meals here never disappoint !
Consistently good food and at affordable prices. Russell and Charlie are more than agreeable to amend menu choices slightly if you have any dietary requirements

Very quiet when we were there in the dining room. Great for conversation. Meals for seniors were spot on. Good prompt service. Overall excellent and would use again and recommend.
