Pumpkin's Kitchen Cafe

I heard about this restaurant a few times but never checked it out. Well, I finally got a chance to go and I was soo satisfied with not only the service but the food was great as well. Our waitress was EXTREMELY nice, I'm sorry I can't remember her name. She gave us samples of the seafood salad (omg, it was delicious) and the punch. It was ghetto sweet and delicious...lol I order the seafood platter with my sides being cabbage, yams, and Mac and cheese. I can't complain about anything. Everything was good and you get very nice servings. Peaches herself came out and checked on us several times and laughed and joked with us!! Can't beat service like that!! If u are in the area this is a must try restaurant, I promise you'll love it!!

I was at PKC for breakfast this morning I had the western omelette... IT WAS WONDERFUL! Or server was on top of everything. She anticipated our refills, checks & to go box. The food was inexpensive and delicious. The location is excellent, I can't wait to see what Aretha does next! My assiciates both had chicken and waffles and went on & on about how good it was. PKC put the lunch/ dinner buffet out while we were there it looked bum... and the ppl that had the buffet went on about how good everything was. I will be back. I had no complaints NONE!

During a recent visit to Virginia, I chose Pumpkin's Kitchen Cafe to meet family and friends for dinner, and to celebrate our daughter’s college Farewell and Blessing. I must say that we were very pleased with the 5-star service that we received, as well as some of the most delicious Soul Food we’ve ever tasted! The staff was very attentive and courteous, and they worked hard to accommodate and ensure a good time was had for everyone in our large party. Our guests all commented on what a great restaurant pick it was, and how they were happy to learn of a new Soul Food restaurant to eat at in the Richmond area. The prices are very reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was plenteous and delicious! I highly recommend Pumpkin's Kitchen Cafe and look forward to dining there when I visit Virginia again! This was my 1st time dining here & I was MUCH MORE than satisfied. The food being awesome was the small part, it was the super friendly customer service that made me make my very 1st review for a business. The air conditioner was KICKING and we got a lil chilly but was willing to deal with it until the waitress came over , asked if we were cold and turned the air down immediately. They checked on us , catered to us and were just awesome....this will definitely be placed on 1 of my Sunday dinner spots from here on out....

As I work just across the street and being the foodie I am of course I made my way across the street several times since this restaurant has opened. Each time was pure satisfaction! I mostly enjoy the breakfast sandwich! I'm planning on a Sunday dinner here with my family. I have been able to enjoy conversation with Pumpkin and her staff and yes I absolutely love the vibe and outstanding service. Pumpkin's Kitchen Cafe was a great stop during a busy weekend in downtown Richmond. Their cornbread was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and their portions could not possibly leave you hungry. The staff were kind and attentive, and we even had the opportunity to meet Pumpkin herself! Stop here if you are in Richmond readers!
