My favorite place to go!! Would never know you were in a fish market if you walked in blindfolded. Lolz always clean and smells great. Very friendly staff and great prices!! It's a must.

Stopped by on 5/21 and ordered the large crab kickers. The crab kickers come in regular, large, and jumbo. Based off the options , I was thinking the description was in regards to the size of the crabs but I’m thinking it’s in reference to the portion size. The crabs were on the smaller size but they were really good and meaty. The butter seasoning mix was delicious and the lemon they put on the side was a nice touch. It was a unique flavor. Customer service was also good and the store was clean. I did attempt to place my order over the phone so it could be ready when I got there but was informed I had to place it in the store. The store was not packed on the day I went and I waited about 15 mins for my food.

Great spot for seafood, got a reasonably priced bushel of #2's. The place is clean, staff is friendly and fast.
The food was good and seasoned, the shrimps was a nice size, just needed to be cooked a little more. batter wasn't cooked all the way through. I would definitely go back, and wells worth my money.

This was my first vist to Bay Seafood Market. They have a good variety of fresh fish, mussels and crabs. We went in to get some steamed spiced shrimp, we also got some seafood salad. They have a great selection of shrimp sizes. Found out they also carry Salted Herring.
The staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall my experience was good and I will be going back!!
The staff was nice and helpful. The fish were beautiful and fresh. I had just gotten fish from Publix Supermarket 2 days prior. I asked the man at Publix was the fish fresh because it looked funny he said yes, it's always fresh. On the 2nd day after buying the fish the fish smelt like 5 trash cans. It stunk up my whole refrigerator. Of course I threw it in the trash.
My First visit and it was the most best tasting, meaty, heavy weight, male crabs I have eaten in 30 years, I will return back forever, I recommend this place to all crab lovers to check them out you will not regret a single dime, I am in love, I just moved to the area and so happy I found them, come see for yourself, I'm sure the town already knows 💕
#1 Crab spot in RVA. Prices tend to change for crabs daily, because they go out to Chesapeak Bay and catch them daily. When ordering crabs, I have never gotten a single dead crab in the bushel, and if ordering #2s, they throw in at least a half dozen or more #1s. Store is well run, clean, and free or any "fishy" smell. Fresh fish and shell fish can be seen on ice as well as frozen seafood that's more exotic, like octopus, eel, Pacific crab, etc. Also a good take out menu!
