First time having eating here and it was an absolute remarkable experience! I had the sunrise sunset smoothie, the supergreen caesar chicken and it was phenomenal! Workers were nice, food was served promptly and hot! I would give it 10 stars if I could!
Pleasantly surprised by this location. I usually go to Willow Lawn becasue it’s closer to my work but I will be visiting this location from now on. Not only is the food quality just overall better but the ppl working there make it a much more welcoming experience.
I wanted the Mango Moonstone smoothie but they were sold out. The lady at the front with glasses was very attentive and recommended another popular smoothie that tasted similar and I was not disappointed. The smoothie was blended perfectly and my burrito came out hot and fast. Will come back.

Tropical Smoothie has great smoothies and food. They have plenty of flavors for smoothies! I think my favorites are Sunrise Sunset, Beach Bum, and the Chia Banana Boost with strawberries. I like that you can add multivitamins and vitamin b-12 in your smoothies too. I was online ordering when I realized I could not substitute the chicken in my Pesto sandwich for the vegan chicken. I know that the option exists here which is why I was so excited to order here with my coworker however, you cannot select an option to sub the chicken for vegan chicken. I called the shop and asked if I placed the order and called back, that they'd know which one to put the vegan chicken in and they said yes! I put mine has "No Chicken" and my coworker got a regular one. We were so busy at work that by the time I finally had a moment to call back, the smoothies and food had already arrived, sans vegan chicken in the pesto sandwich. Yeah its my fault I was swamped at work and couldn't get away to call back but this could have all been avoided if Tropical Smoothie Cafe would simply add "vegan chicken" as an option instead of the only options being regular chicken or no chicken. I hope that they will fix this issue as more and more people are becoming vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based friendly every day.
Edit: They have since resolved this issue and you can now choose between no chicken, regular chicken, or vegan chicken! Thank you so much! I am changing my 4 star review to 5 stars!
This is the location near VCU campus. It wasn't very busy when I visited. The cashier seemed unsure of what order belonged to what customer. I said at my time of ordering that I didn't want the edible straw that came with my watermelon mojito smoothie, but they were gonna give it to me with my smoothie (not a big deal, just sayin). I've never had the watermelon mojito smoothie before, but it tastes very good! All together a good experience. Can't wait until all is back to normal. *Deep sigh*
My friend and I came in this evening and the young gentleman that took our order and made our smoothies was extremely polite and professional. I did not catch his name but he had a lot of stickers on his hat. He went above and beyond and even had carriers ready with bags for our smoothies. Great service, thank you!!

It's a tropical smoothie cafe. I've always had a good experience here, nothing much to note. My orders are accurate and made how I expect.
great location, great smoothies and great service. Can take a while if there's a big line inside or if your getting food without your smoothie. once dropped a smoothie here and they got me a new one, so they're alright in my book. Also, the picture on google isnt what the building looks like, if any non locals are confused.
Been coming to this location for a while now. Never had a bad experience. My go-to is the detox island green smoothie with extra ginger 😋.Quite tasty and satisfying. Give it a try next time you visit.
