Love this place and it is by far my favorite barbeque restaurant in the area. I also think you get the most bang for your buck there; however, after being gone for about a year, I stopped in the other day and it seemed things have changed. The potato salad for instance was kind of funky, the staff was less customer-focused and sauces were not on all the tables....little stuff. It made me wonder if ownership had changed or it there was new management. Still great overall though, but I dropped a star because of my most recent experience.
My boyfriend and I came to VA BBQ after a referral to a different location. This location is 5 minutes from our house - hello convenience!
Anyways, we've been coming here for 2+ years and it is always delicious. Everything we've ordered has been hot, fresh, & super yummy. & the owner is so amazingly nice always.
They also have a specialty that I do not think they have at any other locations & that is the AMAZING Brunswick Stew. For a large pint is $5 & it is so delicious. One of the perks of the cold weather and we look forward to it every year now! :)

Virginia BBQ supports our Recycled Rides program. Many times they donated BBQ to our giveaways. They have a great menu selection. The mac & cheese is delicious! Best North Carolina BBQ around! Hands down.
Good barbecue and great service at this local restaurant! My favorite of the meat options is the carolina style pork. The sides I've tried have all been tasty and the food comes out really quickly. What stands out most of all, though, is the really friendly service every time I go in there.
Great combo for a great price. They have lunch specials every week. Choice of NC or Virginia style. Check out the cole slaw. Yes, it's made on the premises! Better than Q bbq.
Serves Carolina and Virginia style barbecue. I usually get the chopped pork, Carolina style. I found the pulled pork to be a little dry. Service is good. Food is always fresh and hot.
Great BBQ restaurant! Tasty,quick, clean and comforting. Good portion sizes and fair prices. Hiding in a little mall with a few other places around. Def recommend!
This *was* my favorite BBQ place but the folks who ran it are gone. The food is still good but the nice touches like friendly folks at the order counter and fresh lemon for tea are gone.
The best barbeque in the state. Both Va and Nc, i have enjoyed both of them. The sides are also amazing. I honestly do recommed to come with your family and enjoy Va Barbeque.
Great pulled pork! And like most BBQ places, the sides are fantastic! Hidden jewel for those who know about it.
