Great little spot. I work up the street from Pop's and every time I have ordered from here I have been pleased. I have had both breakfast and lunch and it really hits the spot. Today I had their breakfast platter and a side of pancakes and I think I will be full for the rest of the day.
Excellent burger and dog joint. I can't believe I've missed this place. I have the inside out bacon burger and it was excellent. The bacon was ground and cooked in the with beef, which allowed the bacon flavor to infuse in every bite. Wow, was it good! The inside has seating at the counter for about 6 people, and there are picnic tables in the back.
This place is the reason I don't like chain restaurants! Here they care about you as a customer and their food is very good. Amazing what such a small establishment can produce! No doubt that I will return and suggest others try them out!
Very good and inexpensive. We went for lunch today. The place is TINY and the counter was packed. The owners were very friendly and the food was really good. Excellent prices. They didn't list sauerkraut as a topping but they do have it. The customers also were friendly to each other. Definitely will go again.
The onion rings were very good. Only thing I would change...it would be great if they offered steamed hotdogs too.
Blast from the past. For many years this place was Sam's -- home of the Bologna Burger. New owners opened this July 1, 2013 with new paint and retro decorations. Hamburgers are made by hand from fresh angus beef, topped with any condiment (chili, grilled onions, whatever) and three cheese choices. The usual sides are on the menu (the onion rings were batter fried and delicious). Six chrome Coke stools face the counter and the grill, or you can order take-out. Hamburgers taste the way they did fifty years ago before fast food chains homogenized them and removed all the taste. It's a delightful little place, and we'll be back! (And they still carry the Bologna Burger.)
The food here is absolutely amazing. The fries, burgers, hot dogs, chicken, everything. These people know what they're doing. It's a small place- fits about 6 people inside - but it's very cute and has lots of American retro decor. It's definitely a southern restaurant. The people are very outgoing and kind, so you definitely won't be bored while eating.
First-time diners, stopped in around noon for a Monster Junk Yard Dog and a Bologna Burger. This is CLASSIC diner (& breakfast!) joint fare with really generous portions (Never seen a bologna burger that thick, EVER). The owners are good folks and the decor is astounding. Stopping back for breakfast sometime soon!
We wanted to have burgers but were not wanting to eat from a big fast food chain so we went here. The food was amazing, fresh beef never frozen, hand made and so good! I would recommend this place to anyone.
Inflation has not hit this place yet. Large portions fast service and a bit of entertainment from " Brother Dave." Went for a quick breakfast, everyone got sandwiches. Nice runny egg, large sausage patty and soft homemade style bread. All around great experience.
It is a very small and cluttered place to eat. It had very little room for the cook and waitress and about 6 barstools for customers. They had really excellent food though they were really nice people. I hope next time I go through there they have a bigger restaurant to serve more people. Their sandwiches, French fries, onion rings, Burgers or just delicious and homemade and hot and they made it very quickly also. The prices for very good. They're special for the day was too hot dogs and fries and a drink for $7 you can't beat that. It would cost you more than that at a fast food restaurant and leave hungry I was full and satisfied.
It was my first time going there and when I walked in it was like I had went back in time. All of the old memorabilia brought back so many memories. The customer service was great everyone was so nice and welcoming, and the food oh my goodness I had a foot long, a burger and onion rings I have not had food this good probably in 30yrs you can tell it was made with love. Can’t wait until my next visit
I liked this place. I'll be going back soon. Went with some co-workers in a last minute what-the-heck kinda decision. Wasn't let down. There was only one guy behind the counter, but he was a fun guy to talk to. Impressive food for the price. You will not go home hungry with a $10 meal. I got the 3 patty burger with some fixins and it was delicious. Would recommend. Don't expect too much, though. It is almost the quintessential hole-in-the-wall place, but I was impressed. Go for the vibe.
Delicious burgers and onion rings, generous portions, and a reasonable price. Plenty of outdoor tables, so a great option on a nice day. There are only about 5 seats inside and it’s wildly cramped. The only downside to this place is that they had a Tr*mp sign hanging…eek. Service was very friendly and typically Southern in the best way.
We finally got inside. Thank you Kimberly, even though you're not the regular cook it was delicious and well prepared. You were super pleasant to talk to. Speedy recovery to the og cook. Thanks again, we will be back soon.
Absolutely love Pop's Dogs & Ma's Burgers! The atmosphere & the staff are super down to earth & full of love. My friends I had a blast! I personally felt as if I had enough space & I actually like that the place is not to big. It makes me feel as if I am comfortable at home. Never once felt squished or crowded. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS & FRESH! The portions are quite big & always have left overs. If eating inside is not an option for you I have also seen seating areas outside in the back where I have also seen people sit down & eat.
