I went today for brunch. The atmosphere was great with big windows and ample parking. I ordered the buongiorno sandwich and split it with a friend who got the caturra mess. The sandwich was awesome, with crispy bread and perfect meat to egg ratio. I wish there was more of the tomato sauce.
The mess was good. There was a good grilled taste to it. My one critique was that the potatoes could have been cooked more to make them more tender.
Wonderful staff, great food and dessert, really unique place. Quaint, a little rustic, a beautiful stone fireplace and interesting art on the walls. The was a three piece jazz band playing. Very low-key jazz. Great place!
What a great place for a date, a relaxing beer, or a small gathering with friends. This place has a modern, relaxing, and dim lit ambiance. You just feel comfortable here. They have wonderful food! My husband and I both loved our meals. He had the pork chops and I had the pasta carbonara that was amazing. The portions are perfect. Not too big and not too small. You pay for the good quality, but it is still affordable! They have draft craft beers and wine as well. There is a small parking lot in the back and street parking is available as well. The service was great and very friendly. I was able to reserve a table through Open Table and it was really easy. I highly recommend trying this place out!
Great service. I had a very sweet server who put my lemonade in a wine glass to make me feel fancy today. Inside joke. Very clean. Nice bright space. And the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Asian rice ball but it is pretty spicy.
Friday afternoon during winter break... stayed up late last night thinking of American interventionism in the middle east. This mezze platter was a perfect half lunch half snack first meal of the day situation. Service was fun and pleasant, right on through my asking if i was aquatinted with her (i wasn’t, but she looked damn familiar).
Grandmother and father came with. Both had a great time.
The carbonara pasta with arugula was the best pasta I've ever had. The food came out much quicker than I expected and they have half-priced bottles of wine every Wednesday.There is also ample parking behind the restaurant with a back entrance. Great experience. Will go back soon.
I've been living in Richmond for so long time, yet this is place is getting better every single time. Great selection of food and the staff is very polite. Everytime I have a chance I stop by.
Food was excellent though the portions are quite small, at least ours were. The atmosphere is great but don't go when somebody is just lighting the fire that doesn't know how to get a flu hot. They smoked us out of the place, lol. now really though, the food is great, the service was excellent, really comfortable sweet little spot to have a meal and hang out with friends.
They have fantastic coffee! My favorites are the mocha latte and honey spice. Never had dinner there but breakfast and lunch were delicious. They have plenty of options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The choices definitely run on the Mediterranean side. Service was also fantastic.
The food was very fresh, well seasoned and generous portion sizes! The atmosphere was very relaxed, laid back and comfortable, and the service was spot on! I highly recommend this place for all the reasons above plus, they have a great wine list and delicious coffees!!
