Seating is very limited here with a handful of tables and then there's the bar seating that's at the bar and along the wall. We took the bar seating along the wall which felt cramped next to a table with other guests. The hostess was polite and brought water to us while we waited to order. There does seem to be a takeout option if you don't want to dine in or there's no place to sit. We waited a little while before our drinks and order was taken. Overall the food was tasty and reasonably priced. We got the curry, shrimp tempura udon, and an order of beef gyoza that all came out quickly.
I'd like to come back and enjoy the food at an actual table. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and casual.
I had no idea there was a ramen place so close to my house. My son & I went here for a dinner together on Mothers Day. We were seated right away, and they brought out a bottle of water with glasses while we ordered. The menu is digital.
We ordered an appetizer, vegetable rolls that were piping hot and tasted so fresh and good. They were yummy dipped in the duck sauce. My entree was a Ramen with soy milk. The server asked if we wanted a fork, or chopsticks, and I decided to be adventurous and use only chopsticks. To my surprise, I did pretty well lol... they were not as hard as I anticipated.
The dining area is a lil dark, and the table & chairs are kind of low to the floor but overall, I enjoyed everything and would go back for sure.
My wife and I have eaten here twice. Both times the ramen was excellent. The spicy miso ramen was hot, but not too hot (only face sweating). The service is attentive without being too personal (no need to introduce yourself to us and return repeatedly to the table to check in, as with some restaurants) and the atmosphere is nice, with Japanese decorations.
I went here for my 1st with my wife for lunch. The food was delicious and the beer was great! I’m rating 4/5 stars because the waitress was not as attentive as I would have liked. I say that because I had to ask another waitress to order our desert and for our check at the end. My wife & I will be back because the food and are hopeful for a better experience.
Such a good place to visit when you’re craving something warm with a burst of flavor. Quick turnaround times for ordering and receiving your food.
Also, can’t remember the name of the crab sticks but one of the best appetizers I’ve tried!
Really good! Lots of very traditional Japanese dishes, which I absolutely love. You can’t find anything else like this in Richmond. Would recommend doing tapas style and ordering a bunch of dishes to share with your party.
Really warm and comforting ramen with lots of flavor. There’s only one vegetarian ramen with a limited selection of vegetarian food options besides the one ramen. Wait staff was really attentive and helpful. The service was speedy and always asked the appropriate question about our dietary restrictions and our food.
I got the signature spicy soy wings, and chicken miso ramen ... it was so good, and the spicy level was actually spicy unlike some other places ... The vibes in here are on point, not too bright, not too loud. Its definitely a great first time ramen experience. I will be coming back.
Nice little ramen joint. Went here for the first time and they had a mobile menu which was nice. The place itself isn’t too bright when I went when It was dark out. It gave me lofi vibes or if someone were to visit a pac sun with the lighting of the place haha. Only bad moment was I was trying to order some ice cream and my server walked away instead of staying to hear what I was trying to say. She probably didn’t hear me though. I got the yaki soba and that was very delicious! The portion is a generous amount so of course I took some home.
Such a cute place and the food was amazing! My only complaint is that my ramen came out a good five-ten minutes faster than our edamame appetizer and my husband's rice dish, but the food was ready overall quickly and like I said, tasted amazing!
