Man! Great, fast service!! Brad (the owner aka the Waffle Man) was awesome and so down to Earth. We also had Quinton who took our orders and dealt with our million and 1 questions. He was so knowledgable and had great recommendations. After pondering over the expansive menu which has waffle and nonwaffle items, i finally decided. I had the RVA Waffle. It comes with fried chicken, tomatoes, jalapenos, ranch, doritos, and crispy onions. The veggies were fresh and the chicken was hot and flavorful. My waffle had the perfect crispyness to it!! I also got a sweet treat which comes with 2 toppings. I had an apple fritter and topped it with cinnamon toast crunch and bacon (don't knock it til u try it). I will definitely be a regular. I'm so happy they are open 24 hrs Friday and Saturday.
I went to this place about a month or two ago and I fell in love! Aside from the waffles being absolutely delicious, the staff and the owner were extremely sweet! I love that you have an option to get a savory (hash brown) waffle if you’re not in the mood for something sweet. Writing this review is making me hungry! I’m on my way Capitol Waffle Shop ��
Fantastic little waffle joint! Lots of great food and drink options, enjoyed an Irish cream latte and honey haze latte. Bacon egg and queso waffle was great, loved the queso on there, and house chicken and waffles can't be beat, a must-try. Wiscuits were unique and delicious, and the Jensky was fun, another must-try! Fast service, reasonable prices.
You won't be disappointed! The waffle selection is incredible and the staff are downright awesome!!! But go in knowing these are NOT your everyday, run of the mill waffles. They are works of art! If you get the chance, stop by.
OH YUM!!! 😋 came hear for a breakfast treat with a friend and what a delicious time we had! The coffee was perfect (Americano), we had a half moon waffle each with savoury toppings and a Fraffle (waffled apple fritter) each which is just a quarter waffle but is so delicious you might want several!!! Oh, and they have a hot sauce shelf 🌶️🤌🏾 Will defo come again. We dined in to easy listening music. It’s not noisy and the staff is really nice. Will come again!
HIDDEN GEM! This is a must try if you’re in the area. Service was quick and staff and friendly. Food is DELICIOUS! They have options for savory or sweet, which is awesome. I recommend doing a half savory and half sweet dish.
In the picture you can see there current drink and food menu as of July 2023, along with there “Rules”. The food I ordered Bacon, Egg, and Queso waffle with additional chicken strips. Came out to $20 with a Diet Coke, water bottle, and tip. Great concept and restaurant! RESPECT!!
Glad I came in ! Warm and cozy atmosphere, delicious food, perfect portions, and one of the best coffees I’ve had in Richmond . This spot just became a go to for me whenever I come back!
So I got the granny waffle. It was good and waffle was nice and the fruit was very fresh. I think the chicken can be seasoned a little more. Other than that the waffle was great. The shake was very low on my scale. Like a 3. The other waffle he said was very good. I recommend the mimosa. It’s what I got to replace the shake. It was very good.
By far the best chicken and waffles I've ever had! The food, the coffee, the people are all incredible! This will be a spot I come to from now on when I'm in town.
Great little place with amazing food. Friendly staff, quick service and wonderful waffles. Had the Western and Grandma. Both were delicious.
Lovely place for a treat. Get there early and service is blazing fast. It fills up quickly because the waffles are perfect. Firm and golden on the outside, light as air on the inside. Easily cut with a plastic knife. Whether you are in the mood for savory or sweet, they've got you covered.
Absolutely fantastic little hole-in-the-wall spot in the heart of Richmond! Served with a big smile, and the waffles were PHENOMENAL. Next time I'm in town, I'm coming back!
