The Orient Cafe

This place is so close to home, and I'm sad that it took us this long to find it. They have amazing dinner specials with rice, soup, and a 3 piece appetizer (crab puff, spring roll, and fried wing) per person. Our family of 5 can eat there for around $100, almost always less. The portions are so large that 3 of us always take half our meal for the next day! Their hot & sour soup is the best I've had in the Sugar Land/ Richmond /Rosenberg area. And their kung pao IA no joke. I don't like spicy stuff, and their chefs are very accommodating. It has become our regular dine-in and take-out place that never disappoints.

I have been eating for a long time now. I’ve seen my share of people and the new owners are very nice. At first it took a little getting used to for certain foods since they had a new cook but overall I enjoy it here. The workers are always smiling and polite. The make the take out orders pretty quick and if I order for delivery, they are fast as well. The prices are fair considering almost all meals take meat. We feed a family of five and we usually spend around 40-50 bucks. My favorite is the chicken fried rice. So basic I know. Anyway I highly recommend this place. I like to watch the kids learning music next door through the glass window.

Ordered a meal for an occasion, we don't eat out due to having high risk family members... but decided to order online delivery. Was very pleased with the timing and it showed up HOT! Bonus that our delivery driver was wearing a mask and waited outside our gate to assure we got the delivery, and thanked me for the tip! The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the general tso, it was kind of chewy and burnt tasting, every other entree we got was delicious, though. Very pleasant experience. Will most likely order from there again!
