Oriental Empire

They have good sushi and Chinese food here. The quality and flavor is good. Due to the pandemic we can only order to go. I did have to wait 30 minutes for my food. I have ordered here several times and they are pretty consistent. The other day I ordered the 2 roll maki lunch - spicy tuna crunch and eel with avocado. It came with either a soup or salad. I opted for the salad. Lunch was about $10. If I am shopping in the area, I would love to dine in. Hopefully soon.

Surprisingly good; usually not a fan of multi-asian cuisine restaurants, but this one served quality food for what we ordered. Ordered Oriental Empire Delight, spicy salmon hand roll, and spicy salmon roll. While usually normal safe choices allowed us to try all the proteins they cook up. Seemed small portions but better quality, than what we usually have for this type of eatery. All the meat was super tender, lobster was an actual lobster tail. The Spicy salmon had some nice tempura flakes added to it to give it a little crisp crunch. Nice place for lunch to sit in, cozy friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again to try the rest of the menu

What a bad experience.A friend and I went there for lunch on a Saturday.We walked in at 2pm and we were the only people in the in the restaurant and sat ourselves. The waitress came over and we asked for a Diet Coke and a glass of water.It took 15 minutes to get our drinks and still we were the only people there.So,it took another 10 minutes to take our order.We ordered the lunch special and an appetizer.In the mean time we had to swat at flies because the table behind us had dirty plates with food on them. I ordered beef with broccoli and the portion would have been fine if I was 5 years old. The portion of beef and broccoli was equivalent to about a half of a small take out container.The beef was tough and gave me a workout chewing it.The rice portion was about the size of a small scoop of ice cream.To top it off as we getting ready to leave the appetizer came out despite us asking about it’s where abouts 20 minutes earlier.Yes,we were still the only people in there. Need less to say I won’t be back.Go to Temple on Broad Street, the best Chinese food in Red Bank.
