Char Steak House

Haven’t been to Char in a number of year and am pleased that it still is a top notch restaurant. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, the food came out in a timely manner, and the server was lovely. Although I’m not a huge steak fan, the others that were loved their dishes. We were also celebrating a birthday and our son really had a great time. A memorable evening.

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Red Bank has many great restaurants, but if you’re looking for a nice place to take out your family or have a nice date, I’d recommend coming here. There were a lot of people there so I’d highly recommend making a reservation a few days in advance, especially on the weekends. The service was very great and highly knowledgeable about the food. Our server explained the specials with great detail and pointed us in the right direction. We ended up getting one of the specials, the Wagyu NY Strip Steak with bone marrow mushroom sauce. It was amazing and melted in your mouth. The cocktails were great and the wine went well with our steak. We got the calamari to start and it was very crispy and delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese and death by potatoes accompanied our steak and it was all so amazing. I’ll be thinking of this meal again and hope to go here again, most likely for another special occasion 😊

Enjoyed a lovely surf and turf dinner with wine. Staff was excellent and super accommodating. Ambiance is absolutely gorgeous with a bar downstairs and plentiful seating throughout both floors. Would definitely return when in the area. Street parking is limited but wasn’t difficult for me to get upon arrival.

My Family and I came to celebrate my husband's 40th, our reservation was at 4:30 for a group of 5. We arrived on time. We were greeted and seated. Our waiter was amazing and he was training another employee, both were attentive and also making sure our table was taken care of. All the food and drinks were great, we ordered martines, margaritas, wine, mix drink, oyster shooters were amazing. We order appetizers, main course, sides, and dessert, and coffee. All amazing! Can't wait to come in the warmer weather and sit outside.

Amazing chefs at this place .. over all experience is good but I felt their Raritan location is better. We ordered Lamb chops and stuffed mushrooms as starters very well made lamb was paired with Mango chutney a very interesting combination.. We Ordered salmon (perfectly cooked in a cedar wood paper very flavorful) Pork chop — well cooked and very flavorful. Shrimp scampi was also well done . Amazing desert .. walnut brownie with Vanilla icecream was yumm

We had a great night out here. The food was fantastic, as was the service. My steak was flavorful, juicy, and had an incredible char/crust. The sides were tasty and dessert was bomb. The sides are a bit pricey but the quality is there, and it's an upscale steakhouse so you should know what you're getting into. Word to the wise...if you order soda every refill is charged as another drink. I learned this the hard way haha
