Mountain Springs Restaurant

My review is based on two dining experiences. They have excellent food and excellent service. I’m sure their are times they are slammed when it’s not as quick as some would like but you have to be a bit empathetic to certain situations given the circumstances. This place has great ambiance and draw of feeling like a tiki-like experience on the back patio but I think they do a good job with the props, lighting and music to create the aura. Props to Mary who makes a mean taco salad and has a great personality and eclectic sense of taste and style...we were pleased with her service and conversation. Will return time and time again

OHH SO GOOD. it's like a little piece of the Caribbean somehow got lodged in the mountains of PA. I've only experienced drinks and apps, so far. I have strong intentions of returning, to try the rest. The drinks we had were superb and the loaded nachos, and the pretzels with cheese, were great! We were still full from a huge breakfast but wanted to try this place while we were in the neighborhood. Very glad we did! Fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends. It was empty when we got there (5 minutes after opening) and we had phenomenal service (huge shout out to Mary). I saw there is cornhole, pool tables, etc as well. Cant wait to go back!

We had 8 outside on the immense patio with comfy seating and just a nice atmosphere. Many got the lobster special, Wednesdays, 2 tails for & 18. Fresh cut fries had a tangy subtle peppery flavor that makes you want more. Server was excellent, attentive and friendly. Our second time back in 2 weeks.

The atmosphere there was great! The place wasn't very busy so the employees let us walk around and find ourselves a table, and even let us go outside despite it being rainy. The rest of my party didn't get there until a lot later and our waitress didn't seem to mind at all. I eventually ordered and had the steak salad. It was good, but not seasoned like the other steak salad I've had. I definitely recommend the fries.

I love the atmosphere here. It's like a Tiki bar on top of Mt Penn. I like to come here in the Summer time for a nice relaxing evening. Ive been coming here for the last few years to celebrate a Summer birthday. The food this past time was decent. I wish they would bring back the buckets of fries they had in years past. The beers on tap seems to change...which is a good thing. I tried a few and ended up settling in a Guinness. The waitresses were really nice this past visit. Cheers!
