Thank you for a great work and thank you for the great work customer service at the same timeThe customer service at the same time.
This was some of the best fried chicken that I've had in all of North Carolina in the last three years that I've been down here. The portions were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Juicy and steaming. Fresh out of the fryer as I watch the girls in the back preparing more from scratch to put in next load for the fryer. I can't wait to try the fish. The corn was cooked perfectly and the biscuits are absolutely out of this world. I had to compliment the manager before I left!
So the parking lot is so tiny, however chicken is fresh. Something I was a little shocked by was the environmental friendly straws, I mean weird for a chicken place but yup paper straws
Impressive. Staff is hit or miss. The staff seems a little intimidated by another staff memeber, but a face place to grab a bite
Wish they could move the churches Chicken downtown or somewhere on the north side but the service is excellent and the food of course is excellent
Had not been to one of these in a while. Everything you would expect from here. No complaints
Great customer service food on point the should do something with the beggers as well as people walking up to your car trying to open doors
Where else in Raleigh are you going to find 3 pieces of crispy chicken out the oill, delicious honey butter biscuit and large drink for under 8 dollars? Only Churches chicken on New Bern Ave in Raleigh. Forget where you're from because this is where it's at, baby!
Well, if you've ever been inside of a Church's Chicken then you'll know what to expect as far as the general appearance from the dining room to the kitchen / prep area. Had the floor in the prep area been a bit cleaner, I would have given them a "5 Star" rating. Within seconds of me entering the building, I was greeted by a very friendly cashier who politely took my order and actually kept a smile on my face the whole time because of her fired up personality!
The cook had his area stocked with more chicken that I've ever seen before in any churches restaurant even from the time when I used to work at a Church's Chicken 30 some years ago in Durham. I noticed that they had a new item on the menu called, "Smokehouse Chicken" which in all my years of patronizing this chain, I had never tasted this type of chicken from a Church's franchise or anyother fast food restaurant. It was also competitively priced at $5.00 and it includes an half of a chicken (4 pieces), an individual side of your choice and a biscuit. For an dollar extra, you could get a medium sized drink.
So listening to the cashier, she persuaded me to try it. Well, the rest was history! That was by far some of the best rotisserie-style chicken I've ever tasted!!! Even down to the breast which with most roasted / rotisserie chicken is very dry but this half of a bird was moist from the first bite all the way to the last bite! If you don't believe me, ask my girlfriend! She actually finished the rest of it off for me, lol!
So hats off to the Church's Chicken on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, NC! I can't wait to try the new, "Bourbon Black Pepper Smokehouse Chicken" which is coming June 25th!
In conclusion: I've eaten there in the past and based on my experience I will continue to eat there in the future hopefully not as much though because I'm in the gym now and I'm trying to stay fit, LOL!
This Church Chicken restaurant is very small compared to every other Church Chicken restaurant I've been. We were a family of 6 and there were just 3 tables with 2 seats each and 1 table of 4 seats, and if I would've move things around it would've been uncomfortable. Employees are good. I made a big order and had to check my order twice because I was missing some combos. When I claimed the missing combos they gave them to me without hesitation or questioning.
My Daughter who resides in Rochester NY just loves this Chicken and must eat it weekly during all her visits
