The annual State Fair has a lot of food choices from Turkey Leg to funnel cakes and blooming onion and so many others. There are also games, agriculture displays, and gift shops throughout the fair. At night they have the fireworks as well. Plenty of parking available but I’d recommend coming earlier and not the last weekend as it can get really really crowded. Bring cash as many vendors don’t accept credit card (although most do). Highly recommended!!!

LOVE visiting the Fair each year! The yummy food, and the smells, the sights, the colors, the contest winners, the animals, the rides, and the FIREWORKS!!! SO much fun! Totally reminds me of attending our county fair up in Troy, OH each year as a kid. Always buy your tickets early online, and get your ride wristbands at that time too for the best price. Go to the Fair on a Monday or Tuesday if you cannot stand the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds of the weekend….

The fireworks were great along with the entry help to get into the fair. The food was also great, especially the Mediterranean food spots and the fried food looked really good. Lots of great rides and really cool exhibits. The atmosphere was way different as well with all the people coming from a lot of different entrances as well. Good scene for food people and ride enthusiasts.

Our first time at the North Carolina State Fair. We had an awesome time. Cant wait for next year. The sights, the rides, the food, the animals, agriculture, art were all awesome. Celebrating all the good things that come from the best state in the Union. Proud to be North Carolina Native. Really good to see some positives with all thats going on today. Thank you NC for not shutting down the fair this year. There were plenty of hand sanitizing stations, masks etc if you wanted them.

The best fair I have ever been too. The hype is definitely real. A lot of games and rides. Also an absurd amount of food trucks. Definitely get the jerk chicken!

I loved visiting the state fair this year! There were so many fun things to do and eat although it is very crowded so I suggest buying tickets in advance and getting there on the early side. this is a great place for familys or an adventure by yourself.

Packed as always! The state fair is such an experience! Down point definitely being the fact that most places only take cash . It is mostly outdoors and I understand that masks are not required but I really wish people learned how to cough and not to spit on the floor but well, The variety of the public. Lines are long specially to buy entrance tickets so try to get them online , parking is a very confusing situation as it is free at the stadium but you’ll have to walk or pay 20 usd and park by the houses close to the fairgrounds that offer temporary space. Clear bag policy. food is crazy and rides interesting for kids and young ones.
