The Bogey Bar & Grill

Google maps indicated this location was open on June 7, 2022 until 9 p.m. Though there were tables and fencing set up in the parking lot that day for additional outdoor seating, the place was closed with no sign on the doors indicating why. Is this simply a temporary closure while the owners are away, have they changed their hours of operation, or will this be a permanent closure? Inquiring minds wish to know.

We ordered curbside carryout and when I got home the order did not include the onion rings we were charged for. It was even crossed off on the receipt as if double checked. First Impression is that it could be better handled for curbside order checking as it is disappointing to get home and get your food out and find it is not a complete order. Fish Sandwich was very good. We did get the Bogey Brussel Sprouts as well and it was fantastic!

I started coming to The Bogey over 40 yrs ago! This place was definitely a blast when Tiger Woods came to town. It’s been hit or miss since then. I don’t know what is up with us waitress named Tammy. ( if you’re not happy where are you work/life don’t take it out on the customer) I highly suggest asking for someone else. The food is really bad or really good. The same with carry outs. Literally will even add a tip to your card, not thinking you may CHECK YOUR BANK ACCT. New management over the years, chefs come and go But one thing has stayed true to The Bogey Inn they could care less about the customers. They can make great food. This place has a great indoor outdoor atmosphere. Wonderful location. However the people they hire for the people that have been there for a long time get away with what they do no one‘s accountable for anything. My husband and I my family and I my kids and I my friends and I we always set our clocks it’s like a running joke now to see how long it takes to see someone to see how many times they can walk by without even making eye contact. Hell we’ve had our hand up in the air and that Tammy girl walks by on purpose and kind of smirks. I remember back in the day when they were black leather skirts to work LOL. Unprofessional there’s so many wonderful places to eat in the Columbus Ohio area I suggest enjoying your hard-earned night out somewhere else. I said by that place two years ago. Writing this review because of the holidays visiting family friends and what do you know they all brought up horrible experiences they had. The community keeps that place in business all my friends family in the community kept that place in business. You try to go down memory lane and Ghe Bogey Inn makes that impossible.

Had dinner here while visiting a friend. When given our bill, I purposely put a bold line to prevent a tip from being added, put the total and signed. I directly gave our waitress a cash tip. The next day I noticed the amount taken out of my acct was $20 more than what I put for the total. Ours was not a large group/order that the automatic tip was added! I called to speak to the manager, was put on hold 2X and then was told the manager was too busy. Was asked for my ph # and was told I would get a return call...that never happened. Grant it, $20 is not much but I wonder how often this happens??!! Don't plan on returning...

Visited the Columbus Zoo and stopped in afterwards.... Great food! I only had a Chicken Caesar Salad, but it was great. My wife had chicken tenders and they were done of the best I'd ever had. Everyone else in our party had burgers and Reubens... They were unreal!! Delicious food!! Great service!! And excellent atmosphere!!
