J. Dominick's Trattoria

J Dominick‘s become our restaurant of choice over the past year. They are extremely good if you want to celebrate a very special occasion there. Lauren and the entire service team is top notch. I can’t say enough about her kindness, compassion and Genuine hospitality. She is extremely good at what she does and I believe the whole restaurant revolves around her. In addition they have some phenomenal family meals that we usually get 3 to 4 meals out of it. The salad they serve with it is exceptional. Their chefs are extremely excellent in the high quality and Flavor profiles of the food. We are crazy about this restaurant and I can’t say enough great things about it. Thank you Lauren and the entire staff for being beyond five star!!!

My party arrived at 6pm on a Friday. The food was ok. WAY too much oil in the salad and on the special chicken I had. Prices too high for food quality. My party sat outside which was nice because it was a beautiful evening. The music on the patio was so loud that we had to shout to barely hear each other. Two requests to turn the music down got it to a level where we just had to listen very closely. As one person said, learn to read lips before you go. We were seated far from the speakers. Service was average. The chairs on the patio are very uncomfortable and not appropriate for dining seating. I doubt I will ever go back.

I don’t know why my review keeps getting removed but I went here for Mother’s Day Dinner. The short ribs tasted like pot roast and was all fat and grizzly . 2 of us couldn’t even eat it. The drinks took over 45 minutes to arrive and tasted like Virgin drinks because there was no alcohol in them. There is no kids menu so DO NOT go if you have children . I asked for a half a portion of pasta for my granddaughter and they said no. We sat over an hour before they took our order and the hostess said that’s a normal wait time. I do not recommend!

We had my Wife’s Birthday Party upstairs and everything was Perfect! We had family drive from NJ and Westchester and they were Amazed by the Food, the Service and the Atmosphere! We had appetizers, salad, bread, entrees and dessert! We did not feel rushed at all and were made to feel like Family! Absolutely love J Dominics. We frequently order pick up. The zuppa de pesce is hands down the best ive ever had .We are very excited because we finally are going to eat in for Valentine's day next week happily just confirmed our reservations . Staff is super friendly and we love this place Edit. Dinner was last night.. Was THE BEST YET I reccomend anything they make but their seafood selection is hands down delish. Sylvia is a top notch server and bartender so sweet along with all the staff there already cant wait to go back!

I have lived in the area for several years, chioces are limited. I have been to J Dominick's several times. The food is over prices and underwhelming. But like I said limited choices in pleasant valley . Mothers Day I placed a togo order, my fiancée went to pick it up after several awkward moments of being ignored he was finally able to get someones attention to only find out they canceled the order. " they turned off their doordash". I called the restaurant after checking my card ....that had been processed, I spoke with a woman who blamed doordash, stated they dont even use doordash, this happens 5 times a week. No sorry, no apologies nothing. Just blamed door dash, and sometjing about nit even getting money from door dash something about college kids. In the end I ordered from Madison's like I know I should of done in the first place. I will never do business with J Dominicks again.
