Had a great experience for dinner at the Blue Spoon! It's a very cosy atmosphere, not many tables so would recommend reserving a table most nights. Super friendly staff, they had some extra pork belly so the chefs made us an impromptu app of crispy pork belly and pureed beets that was delicious. Pasta was made fresh and delicious and the salad with pork lardons and runny egg was a sleeper dish that was awesome.

We have traveled to many states and are always happy to find a small restaurant with good food to support. We looked at the reviews and pictures and were excited to dine at the Blue Spoon. We were very disappointed. The menu is limited without any hearty dishes, except for a burger and mussels. The light fare was fresh, but over salted. The drinks were okay, but were light on the spirits. The location, atmosphere and staff were great. It’s a great location and sweet little restaurant. Maybe we visited on an off day.

Had an amazing dinner with my boyfriend here. The food was fantastic - the pasta was made that day in-house, and the lamb ragu was outstanding. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. We highly recommend Blue Spoon.

Best eggs Benedict I've ever had... And that's my go to for brunch, so I've had a few! I got the ham+spinach and the slightly garlicky spinach puts it over the top! Awesome place with great ambiance and service. Will definitely be going back next time we're in town! Highly recommend it!

First of all, meanwhile Maine is the main COVID hot spot in US now, tables next to the wall in the restraunt were REALLY close to each other - distance between tables was that little that people sitting at the next tables were way more audible than my husband who was sitting in front of me. There was not even a little bit of privacy and no basic covid precautions. Service was fine (our waiter was nice and helpful), BUT when I was making reservation two weeks before, I added information that my husband has his 30th birthday this day, but they did nothing to make him feel even little bit special on this day, they didn't even bother to tell him simple "Happy birthday!" which was a huge disappointment to me (he didn’t know I told them about his birthday). Food was good enough, BUT absolutely not worth those prices. And it's definitely not “$$” restaurant. For two appetizers, two entree dishes and two cocktails (one of them was non-alcoholic) we paid about 150 dollars. We didn’t eat this expensive even in restaurants marked as “$$$$“ in Washington DC for the same amount of dishes. I definitely do not recommend this place.

My husband and I came for an impromptu dinner date. The atmosphere is wonderful and our cheese plate and salad were great. We were underwhelmed with our entrees and the service. Our server was very nice but had to take our order multiple times and didn’t put our entrees in, even after grabbing a notepad to write them down, brought out wine instead of a beer for my husband, and broke my wine glass (which is fine—things happen) but didn’t remove the broken glass from our table. I suspect she’s new and perhaps getting the swing of things but she didn’t really acknowledge any of the issues and it just threw the whole experience off kilter. I was a mediocre server and bartender for a number of years, so I’m quick to give a lot of latitude in solidarity, but this was just a strange experience and made me wish we’d stayed home.

Fantastic flavors. Light salad was perfect. Steak entree could have been a little warmer (need slightly better timing). The desert was rich and just enough to not feel overindulging. The building could use better ventilation, especially during these times. Edit: It's not $100+ per person. It's about $50 - $60. I just can't change my google review.

This restaurant has a very sweet, quiet atmosphere. Unfortunately, even though we mentioned we had a show to make, the food we ordered came out a full hour after we ordered. The pasta was a nice chew but the dish was strangely vinegary.
