An awesome store! I am a regular there, and I went in once and they didn't have the bread I like (cheesy garlic - it's amazing!) And since then the manager always makes sure to put it in first (I usually go in right after they open). She is the best! Their sandwiches are just wonderful.

Worst service I have ever received at a big town. I have been going to big town hero’s for over twenty years. The subs are my favorite around Portland. Sadly I will no longer be going to the Milwaukie location. I called in my order because I had my twenty month old daughter with me and it was getting close to nap time. They said the subs would be ready in twenty minutes. I understand it was the lunch rush and they were busy. I arrived got in line and paid for the sandwiches for my family and noticed the ticket wasn’t even made yet. This is about 18 minuets after the call in. As expected my daughter had a meltdown after waiting eight more minutes. I’m sorry to everyone having lunch and listening to my daughters screaming meltdown for the next eighteen minutes, while the servers either messed up my order or simply missed my order. I don’t know because I was trying to calm down my daughter. After 45 minuets from the initial phone call and plenty of customers that arrived after me getting their food, while my order is still not close to being done asked for my money back. When I left a three dollar tip for “fast” food service and that’s the service I received I expected my tip returned too. I know it’s was only three dollars but those of you with kids know it’s pretty damn embarrassing / stressful while you’re kids are melting down in public places.

The food was inedible. I make horrible sandwiches but this was, next level. I don’t blame the woman working, who was the only one in the store. They were out of half of their inventory. She seemed nice enough. Idk poor management. The woman seemed stressed. Undercooked meat. It was also kinda dirty, which I’m not upset about b cause only one person was working and she only has two hands.

I'm a fan of Big Town Hero and have been for about a decade. Probably my favorite sandwich shop that would compare to something like a Subway. Fresh, soft bread, and the ingredients that come on a standard sandwich are a great mix of flavor.

I love the location real close by work. The food is good. But it takes too long to get a sandwich let alone place your order. Need faster employees or a better system.

Have gone there twice now when they will be randomly closed with a 3rd grad quality art sign letting customers know they are closed. This is during their normally listed business hours and has never been pre-planned with any signage. Really annoying when trying to get lunch on a 30min lunch break. The sandwhiches are just ok. I go mainly because it is close. No longer will be attempting to go here and waste my time. I suggest avoiding

This was a great find in the middle of the industrial district. The food was delicious. The service was excellent and the store was cleaning and well kept. Great subs and salads! A must to try!

It’s usually a good place to eat but last time they didn’t have bread, today they didn’t have cheddar cheese and they gave me the wrong sandwich even though I clearly stated my order. They don’t know how to listen.
