Dotty's

They are always friendly as if they know you personally. And for you smokers they consistently have the best prices in town, even beating out tobacco shops. The only real downfall is that they do leave alot to be desired in the way of atmosphere. In all other aspects they are wonderful. They would definitely get 4 or 5 stars if there atmosphere weren't so generic and boring. And it was a serious debate on whether to give them 3 or 4 but really atmosphere is so important. Love these guys though.

Love this little spot. When I get that feeling of pushing the button if you know what I mean. Lol I sneak out of my place and go here. The lady that works here is great. She makes sure to wipe down the machines before each person gets on it. Great customer services and all out great person. I have won a lot of money so far here. At least more then I lost.

We only ever stop here to buy cartons of cigarettes while out doing our biweekly grocery shopping. The same gal is always behind the counter. She has come to recognize me, and is always friendly and helpful (she works Friday evenings. I don't remember her name! I'm so sorry!). She's always cordial to all the clientele, even the ones who aren't as pleasant to her. Definitely a shining star of this location, and I hope her supervisors realize what a great employee they have!

Horrible customer service and relations. The employee I had interaction with whose name I will leave out but she was a younger woman. More so I would have to describe her as a girl by the way she handles things. I had apparently used "her" bathroom for "way too long" as she described it. Which was a total of aboutn fifteen minutes. After I finished using the restroom I sat at one of the dining tables awaiting a video poker machine and thats when the gal working said, "you have to go, you were in my bathroom for way too long!" I then said, "are you serious right now?" She then said, "yep you have to go im serious. You can't use my bathroom for that long. Now get out now!" I agreed to leave in peace in disbelief and walked out. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way in order to address something of this nature however the way she dealt with and talked to me was completely and utterly out of line. Nobody in the customer service field should be talking and treating people with the disrespect and demeanor in which she did. That is an unexceptable way of handling things and it should be called out. I am a loyal Dottys customer between both getting cigarettes and playing video poker. I spend a substantial amount of my money with this business and definitely feel like that situation was highly unnecessary and uncalled for. Its this type of situation that gives reputable businesses a "bad name". This now drawn out review could have been easily avoided had the employee been a bit more level-headed and dare I say a bit more nice about it. Instead, she placed herself on her "Dotty's pedestal" in which made her feel entitled to treat me with such disrespect and without regard. Lets not forget the money I tipped her before this incident for doing absolutely nothing more than cashing out my video poker slip. All the while, the whole time I was playing video poker she not even once asked if needed a drink or wanted anything at all. Completely unlike any other times at any of the other Dottys I frequent, which is about a dozen locations in all. I hope if nothing else this at least helps someone to think about the way they talk to people no matter the circumstances.
