Love this sandwich shop! The ordering platform through their website is easy to use and orders are made quickly. Love the vegan & build your own options. Super yummy! (bite already taken out of this one)

Meat quite literally thrown on bread and extremely dry, ( pulled pork sandwich.) I choked on it due to severe dry mouth from medication. Had to add cheese and own toppings. Upon taking first bite, ended up throwing the whole thing away because meat was over cooked. Could not digest. East Side Deli, please care about your customers. Doesn't match pic, as well as bread spliting apart. Save your money! It was about the food being inedible and substandard. Anything else is secondary. Customers don't have the right to bring something to light when there's a problem? There's no need to lie. No one is conspiring against you. It's about CUSTOMER SERVICE! Obviously you don't care about your businesses if you feel the need to potentially attack future and returning customers. Not the way to go about it mate. Please stop the harassment.

Used to be the best sandwich in town with the best service. I used to go twice a week when I lived in the neighborhood. Now they just do whatever they want. Like close 25 minutes early when they're only open until 6pm begin with. Guess it's true, the last 2 years have pretty much changed everything and you can't go home anymore. Sad.

Glad they have vegan deli meat (tofurkey) and a variety of breads, but there is no hummus, vegan cheese / cream cheese, or spinach. Would love to see a vegan ABLT, vegan mac, etc. The vegan coleslaw is not fresh; tastes 3-4 days old, but it was still a pleasant surprise on the menu. The BYO sandwich was also very soggy and not toasted enough for the volume of liquid. Love the on-the-go vending option at this location though. Hoping for a vegan meatball parm sub option soon. Keep up the good work!

East Side Deli was a favorite of mine for YEARS but I recently ordered my go-to veggie french dip and realized that they switched "meats" they used to use field roast "meat" and now use tofurkey. The quality is quite different and unfortunately I no longer like the taste. This is obviously my personal preference, but I am sad to see my favorite deli go.

The pastrami sandwich that I ordered turned out to be a sauerkraut sandwich with a slight hint of pastrami. Terrible.
Below: photo that one sees when ordering the sandwich vs. what I actually got.
Somehow not quite the same.
Edit after restaurant reply:
1. The photo of the "10 pounds of meat" sandwich came directly from your online ordering system.
2. If you look at the photo of the sandwich that I received, it is plainly obvious that there is nowhere near 6 oz. of meat. Honestly...look at the photo.

Sandwich was bland no taste. Overstuffed with lettuce. Bacon was obviously microwaved. Roll was too doughy…too thick.

I highly recommend this place to anyone that enjoys a quality sub sandwich. The smell alone had me salivating the moment I walked through the door. I was extremely satisfied with my sandwich (I built my own). Come check this place out if you've got a powerful hunger. This place will get you that fix.
