It’s all about the rice. That’s what makes sushi either great or not. Fish is high quality too, but lots of places have great fish. Vibe is very legit (fwiw I lived in Japan for 3 years). Service is friendly and helpful. Tonight at 6:30 they were quite busy so we had a nice chill pace to our meal. If you seek fast service, arrive when they open.

Really sweet family-owned spot. I grew up working at my own family's sushi restaurant, so I have a real soft spot for places like this. Unbeatable price to quality ratio. I saw the $20 chirashi and knew I had to give it a try and was generally not disappointed. They could definitely charge more than they do. The only area where I was disappointed was the sushi rice. It was a bit on the dry side and I found it far too sweet. That said, my husband liked the seasoning, so YMMV. And this is certainly something that could be different at different times of day. I was there for lunch toward the end of the shift and it seems possible that the rice was toward the bottom of the pot. TL;DR- For the price:quality ratio and family-owned factor I'll definitely be back to try more menu items.

This place is without a doubt the best sushi place in Portland Oregon! I've been going to a go-to restaurant down the street but they were closed so decide to try this one out, it was so freaking good! The quality of the sushi, the temporal and miso soup was on a whole nother level. Was so fresh and made to order in a way that I very rarely see, I highly highly highly recommend this place I will for sure be returning!

So glad we found this place! As a daughter of a sushi restaurant owner, I have always had a hard time finding sushi that I found to be great quality and affordable — but this is it! I especially love their emphasis on salmon dishes (though there are plenty of other options!) - the aburi salmon is A+! Def get there early because it filled up within 20 mins of opening - they also have outdoor dining which was great!
