This is a tiny donut shop that you might drive by since it's in a mostly residential neighborhood, but do not just drive by! Drive into the little adjacent parking lot, walk in, and order some of the most delicious donuts in PDX.
The apple fritter is HUGE and perfectly crispy around the edges. All of the other donuts we tried were just as tasty. It's a good thing I live far away because I'd be in here almost every day. They're that yummy.
And the owner is super nice and friendly. Go support this great local donut shop!
The absolute best apple fritter I have ever had. This place is a hole in the wall, doesn't even really look open from the outside. Another reviewer gave a great description and we had to try it for ourselves. The other doughnuts were really good as well. From now on, when I think of doughnuts, I'll think of this place. Nothing fancy or gimmicky, just good old fashioned the way doughnuts should be. I'll admit that yes, sometimes I like my fancy gimmicky doughnuts, but this place is traditional and exactly how I imagine a traditional doughnut should taste.
I loooooove them, best ever!! I was always too late of a riser to catch them before they sold out. 💸🍩💸 pleeeeease come back! 💔 when i get a craving for those good-good donuts i run here with the quickness, doesn’t matter if it’s the crack of dawn. 😂
UPDATE: Also look at the 4 and 1 stars…one cause they weren’t open when you went by (?!) and a few mediocre ytmen being pressed they aren’t “the best they’ve ever had.” 🙄 That’s your opinion and it’s wrong. This is a struggling BLACK OWNED (& family owned) business which you should absolutely support!! 🖤
If you are interested in supporting a small owned business GO HERE! Donut selection is wonderful. Ours were warm and delicious. Prices are decent. Definitely will go back when I'm in Oregon again.
I will drive an hour to get donuts from this place. I love them so much. The donuts are fresh! I've never had a cake donut that was so soft and such exquisite flavor and textures. Please pay them a visit, this is an amazing place that outshines Voodoo and Blue Star
100% hands down the best donut that we have ever had. Don't be fooled by this place's appearance. It holds the most amazing and special gem of donuts in Portland. stop by say hi to the owner. He's one of the kindest and most welcoming men I've ever met.

Donut Queen has no equal. I have eaten at countless donut shops from the coast to the mountain, and never have I found anything even close to Donut Queen’s heavenly ambrosia. I recommend that you go out of your way to enjoy their Apple Fritter, Bear Claw, and Maple Bar. They don’t need to make any fancy unique flavors, their execution of the classics is perfect.
Best donuts we’ve ever had, hands down. As other reviews mention, don’t be fooled by the exterior! The glaze donut was fluffy and sweet and melted in your mouth. Buttercream bar was a little sweet for me but also amazing. I don’t even like apple fritters but we got one and the dough alone made it amazing. Highly recommend.
$5 for 2 huge donuts…uh yes please! The Apple fritter looked like the side of my head. It was so crispy on the outside, while still warm and apple filled on the inside. I don’t know the same of the second one I got I think it was caramel something, but it was just as good!
Hands down the best apple fritter in town, maybe anywhere. Don’t let the modest facade fool you. I got mine a few minutes after they opened at 8a and the inside of the fritter was still warm. Unbelievable.
