Jill is a wealth of wine knowledge. This shop is light and bright and comfortable. Great for a quiet, after-work glass or a larger gathering. Her retail selection is excellent.
Love this place! I stopped in yesterday on my way to the post office. Great selection of local wines and the prices were very good. Jill, the owner, is delightful and has a robust knowledge of the wine landscape in our region that doesn't just include Pinot Noir. They are open for tastings and a bottle shop! There's ample parking as well. Please visit so this place sticks around!
Good wine selection but they are a little uppity for being a strip mall wine bar in the burbs.
Great selection of wine and the employees have always been super nice to me. They're extremely knowledgeable too! I like how they set up the shop, too. Chairs are comfy if you want to do tastings and I love the atmosphere!
The perfect place to pop in for a glass of wine when you don't have a drinking companion. The easy, intelligent camaraderie of the regulars and the owner make this a cool spot when you don't want to sit alone with your phone at some overpriced, corporate bar that would have TV sports blaring in the background.
There is a rotating display of interesting art on the walls. They have an extensive NW (Canadian too) selection of wines from unique and hard to find wineries. So, this is NOT grocery store selections. Yet the price per glass and bottle is affordable and unique.
Called from far away to create a gift selection for my sister in Portland to do curb side pickup. She asked specific questions and helped make some great choices over the phone. Knowledgeable, friendly and chatty during a busy Christmas season! Helped me make great choices and didn't try to upsell past my budget! Thank You!
Went here a week ago. Great experience for all 5 of us. Jill put up with all our questions and was great company. Also great prices on tasting and bottles. Definitely will go again.
This is a WONDERFUL local find. They'll do whatever you want - a glass, or pouring a glass from a bottle you buy and recorking it for the ride home. Tables to sit and talk - even privately. But they take the read from you. Those who commented "terrible service" probably indicated they wanted to be left alone. Some people just come into Sip d'Vine for the art gallery - and the owner is not pushy. So, just think about a laid-back friend who is happy to give you all the attention and information you want, but you need to ask; because next time, you may want to be left alone. (BTW, I think most of the bad reviews were YEARS AGO)
No where in Portland will you find better wine at such cheap prices. In fact, they need to raise their prices, IMO. Even the bottle mark up is oddly low. People whine about the service. Who cares- I'm there for the wine.
First timer’s to this place. Very nice owner sat and chatted with us as we tasted some to die for Chardonnay “Browne”. Took a bottle to a Christmas Party......👍 we will return.
