Rovente Pizzaria

Tastes as good as it looks. I've had both the calzone and their slices and they're both fantadtic. The venue is small and feels exactly like a small pizza joint, the kind you don't really see anymore. They make the dough in-house, you can see and hear the mixer (you can taste the quality). They cook the calzones to order and even the premade pizzas taste fresh. Fast, friendly, and delicious. Definitely recommend if you want some pizza.

This place was a great find. It was only a block away from my hotel so I ordered online to pick up ASAP. By the time I walked over they were just putting my pizza in a box. I paid and was on my way within 2 minutes. Love the fast service! The pizza itself was delicious! I decided to try something that's not on every pizza menu (they have several more unique options as well as classics) and ordered the Amoruccio con Pesto pizza. It was so good! Such a great combination of flavors with the sausage, artichoke and pesto. The crust was very good too, soft and chewy around the edges but very thin through the base of the pizza. I would order this every night if I lived nearby.

I placed an online order on Sunday for pick up on Monday right when they opened. Josh was so great, he called to confirm my order and offered to meet me at the curb if I couldn't find a place to park nearby in downtown Portland! Now THAT is amazing service for a group of folks that create delicious pizza! They'll be receiving all my future business!! EAT AT ROVENTES!

If you like mustard and Dill you will love this pizza and I highly recommend you add it to your pizza week tour list. It tasted great and I was happy to learn that their pizza crust is based off a naan recipe and it made sense after I heard it with how flavorful and chewy it was. The service was also super friendly and enthusiastic.
