Lovely French boulangerie. The quiche lorraine came out piping hot. The crust is flaky and has a pleasant crispiness. I wish I could eat more of it, but I am gf, so I ate around it. The accompanying salad was a nice surprise. Service was quick and friendly and I was able to be out within 20 mins of entering to rush back to my hotel. I was in a hurry and it was not too busy. I spotted a few gf pastries in the counter.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally managed to make it in and they did not disappoint. Lovely display of delicious treats! Friendly informative staff. I chose the maple eclair filled with a coffee flavored custard. Delicious I inhaled it! Picked up a few croissants, almond and pain au Chocolat for the train ride home. Thank you. Nice chill vibe for a morning cuppa and croissant.

The butter croissant was flaky and buttery, and the chocolate croissant melted in the mouth. The egg salad comes with a cold egg salad and greens. My husband tried the ham and egg salad, which was good too.

I came here to take a break from a work meeting and decided to pick up some pastries to share with the group. I grabbed a pecan cinnamon roll and it was good but a bit soft/underdone I’m the middle. The store was pretty spacious but the selection was a bit sparse. Everyone enjoyed the smaller pastries and is right in the heart of downtown. I would come back again earlier in the day to see if there was a better selection.

Awesome place for pastry lovers like me! Good quality, nice hazelnut crunch over the buttery flakes. Grapefruit tart anyone? Cheerful interior, too.

I'm gonna put this bakery on top of my list! Their pastries are so delicious. I got the chocolate cake and it was the best I've ever had. The croissant was crispy and tasty too! If you are craving for something sweet this is the place will satisfy your sweet tooth!

I'm sure there are many tasty items here at this bakery that if I were to chose something different it would be delicious. My litmus test for American French bakeries are the lemon tarts and this one today was just ok. The crust was a bit too hard that my plastic knife and fork could not get through with fear of wearing it in my lap. The lemon custard was flavorful and very rich, to which is why the crust had to be strong enough to hold it without becoming soggy. I ended up scrapping off most of the custard and eating the remainder of the crust and it was good. Anyways stop in and make up your own mind. 3.5 stars but rounding up because Portland needs the love.

"The best I've had since actual france" - said unpretentiously We got pain au chocolate, a pear baourdaloue tart and an apple fritter (I forget the name, more French than that). The apple fitter had a really satisfying flakey bite to it, but the inside was cold, which was on odd sensation. I'd like to try it room temp-warm next time. The pear tart was solid. The ratio of crust to almond cream to pear was good. Although I sortof wish it was slices of pear across it instead of a big peice, to even out each bite. The Pain au chocolate has a robust bite with a nice amount of give. There is just the right amount of chocolate to compliment the butteryness. The atmosphere is light and airy, with all creme paint and glass cabinets. There's a small selection of juices, as well as savoury foods like quick and sandwiches.

When traveling I always scout for croissants and coffee. My croissant here was good, not great. Crust was good but the interior lacked the buttery flavor of a great croissant. Cappuccino was fair, much too hot and with anemic foam. Everything was served on or in paper. Staff was friendly and space was reasonably clean for a busy bakery.

Wow! So I stopped by to get a brunch option for me and my friend and I ended up with breakfast and lunch. Their quiches are so large, I would recommend splitting with someone unless you want three meals. The canele was not what I expected but tasty enough. The cream cheese apple and raisin pastry is to die for. The gentleman on coffee and warm up was very slow but I can't complain about his results. It was an amazing cup of mocha coffee. 😍 Even the atmosphere was one of laid back ease and just invited people to stay.
