I've been there for breakfast before, but went there for dinner tonight and had the prix fixe menu (yes, they are now open for dinner on the weekends). The blue cheese dressing on the salad is homemade - it was so good I wanted to drink it straight. The sausage and butternut squash risotto, which was the main course, was out of this world. And, of course, the waffle dessert was a scrumptious way to end the meal. Highly recommend!
Lovely breakfast and brunch nook in SW. The waffle tasters they share before the meal are an excellent predecessor of what's to come. The waffles are so rich and tasty and the iced tea was uniquely refreshing. The restaurant now requires 20% gratuity to care for their waitstaff, but the team is so friendly and professional, it's a deserved addition. Saturday at noon, we were able to get a table in 20 minutes - definitely a gem worth trying.
Savory and sweet waffles are featured on the menu but there are also various scrambles to select. I like that you may have mini waffle in lieu of toast. I had a mini banana nut batter waffle that was very tasty. The place got pretty crazy by 10:00AM with a waiting list. Our server was efficient and I liked the space and the Hillsdale neighborhood.
Cozy and fun place to eat at. Delicious waffles and good service. This is a good place for couples, friends, or family. Make sure to try their chicken waffles...:)
Came for late lunch on a Sunday, and the place was hoppin! We were seated immediately at the bar, and the wait staff was very attentive. The food was amazing! Such delicious gluten-free fried chicken. Haven't tasted anything close to it. Also tried the very spicy Aardvark sauce mixed with syrup on a waffle corner. Highly recommended if you like the heat.
A great place to enjoy a unique breakfast! We were able to get seated at the bar without any wait! We shared a Waffle of the day that was exceptionally good! It was a lemon poundcake waffle with berries! I love to try their special waffles. I also had a chicken pesto scramble with grits! The pesto was fresh and delicious!. The chicken was ground meat that was seasoned well. What a good combination for a scramble. The servers were cheerful and I alway like counter bar energy! This is always a fun place.
Food is spendy, but worth it-- I've liked everything I've tried there. Best grits and waffles I've ever had!! Staff is hard-working, lovely to talk to, and knows their stuff. If you want to look at cute decor while you eat, sit in the front, not the back hall.

I had their 3-mini waffle flyers. One sweet, one savory and one spicy Cajun. I like all of them, especially the jalapeño waffle topped with pulled pork. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed and has some orange fibers at the bottom~
Great vibe and very friendly staff. They are super busy on rash hours, but very responsive once after you have you make your order.
Had the buffalo chicken eggs benedict special, which was great! The waffle trio had a nice balance of savory and sweet to sample. The veggie hash had a wonderful chimichurri sauce which made this dish my favorite. Also tried the mushroom gravy which felt like Thanksgiving. They have espresso and brunch alcoholic drinks if the mood strikes. Overall a great local spot with a casual vibe in southwest Portland.
Absolutely amazing! The staff is warm and welcoming and just a pleasure to talk to. The food is mind blowing, so good I’m writing this as I eat! I got the scrapple and eggs with a jalapeño cornbread waffle with a bit of honey butter. DAMN. SO GOOD!!!!!
Loved everything we had! Great selection for breakfast! My favorite was the vegetarian hash. We also had a variety of waffles all were so good. Perfect with a cup of good coffee. Service was also quick and friendly.
The waffles were really good. I loved the sweetness of the waffle. However they were a bit small. I could have eaten two of them and I don't have a big appetite. The service was great and atmosphere very clean. I would definitely go here again but be prepared to order twice the amount I did the first time.
I live close to this quaint spot and have wanted to try it out. My niece and I were warmly welcomed by Matt who ended up being our server. We had the best chicken and waffles( GF) , bacon and bevies! Matt was informative, accommodating and all around a jewel. Everyone here was epic not to mention the food. We both have been in the service industry for years and loved this place. I'll be back constantly!!
