Limelight Restaurant & Lounge

The fries were delicious! Crispy, hot, shoe string fries. Some of the better fries I've had in Portland. I had the chicken and brie sandwich and it was delicious. The chicken was juicy, there was plenty of sauce and brie, and the bread held up. The food also came out super fast. Everything here was awesome. I will be coming back.

The food has been quite good and service quality (although generally good) varies somewhat with each server. For me, I go there alone and can relax inside during lunchtime and work on planning the rest of my day. There are typically many regular patrons around, talking with staff in a positive, relaxing atmosphere. I frequently choose the daily specials because they seem to put special effort into making them especially good.

Not much different than the other five-star reviews. This is exactly the kind of dive bar experience that I love. This was our first visit to the Sellwood area. The entrance lured us in. We went for lunch and enjoyed it so much. Fabulous burger of the month and cup of Hungarian mushroom soup. It was perfect. I want to come back for brunch. The waitress/bar tender was just the best.

My husband and I have been haunting Limelight for probably almost a decade, together and even separately before we knew each other. The crew that works here are fantastic, do their best in the craziest of times, and are all around good people. Feels like coming home every time we're there. The drinks are great, they house-make shrubs and those are awesome, the food is delicious (favorites include burgers, crispy chicken wrap, truffle fries, chicken quesadillas hits harder than you'd expect). I love the dining room seperate from the bar side. Their outdoor space is awesome too.
