Big Kahuna's Bbq

(Takeout/Doordash review): food was tasty and came as a good sized portion. This was my first time having Hawaiian BBQ so I didn’t know what to expect, but I had a positive experience. The meat: I had the ribs and the teriyaki chicken. I got both with the sauce on the side so I was happy with the seasoning and cooking on them. Reminded me a lot of the Caribbean BBQ style mixed with slow smoking. Very good portion as well. The sides: The rice as a side is plain white rice - which I didn’t expect - but if that is the Hawaiian way I can’t complain. The Mac and Cheese was good, but had a unique taste - i think it had another flavor ingredient in in besides the regular Mac and Cheese ingredients. Still tasty, but not the american M&C style if that’s what you were looking for. Baked beans were a nice addition to the rice and tasted as it should. Presentation: I don’t think I took a picture which sucks but the food was presented well and arrived well packaged with DoorDash. As I mentioned above, I requested the sauce on the side so not sure if that helped with it not arriving messy. What I did not like was that in the ribs box, the sauce container was placed IN the baked beans. Maybe sauces can be left outside of the boxes of food (my suggestion), but overall great experience.

Big Kahuna's made our office 2023 celebration FABULOUS!! We booked for 50 and had some of the most tender and delicious Huhi Huli chicken, and flavorful Kalua pulled pork with all the trimmings, and everyone loved EVERYTHING, and there were even leftovers for them to take home! Very generous portions of great food at a very reasonable price!! What's not to love!! Wonderful staff...Gary was so accommodating... highly recommend them for any event!! I know we'll be back!

Picked up the chicken and pulled pork, rice, and mac salad for our small company lunch today. This was the second time we have done that and the second time the food was absolutely delicious! By far my favorite Hawaiian style bbq in town. The meats are cooked to perfection, along with an assortment of great sauces, and that mac salad is the bomb.

We hired Big Kahuna's BBQ for our wedding catering, and we're SO happy we did! I'm from Hawaii, and really wanted Hawaiian food at our wedding, but didn't want to go over budget. Gary at Big Kahuna's was so helpful in working within our budget to make our wedding dreams come true! He helped us build a menu and was very flexible with any changes I needed to make. On our wedding day, the Big Kahuna team showed up, set up, replenished food in the buffet line, and then packed up to-go containers with any leftovers for our guests! Aside from the amazing service we received, the food was also SO GOOD! All of our guests asked who we catered with because they loved it so much. I'm just so happy with Big Kahuna's and if you're looking for a caterer for your wedding or next event, go with Big Kahuna's! Best food and best service ever!
