Joe's Burgers

In a sea of sandwiches, Joe's stood out as our hamburger salvation. The food was fairly inexpensive (for downtown Portland), quick and delicious. I had the guacamole bacon cheeseburger, my daughter had the Cowboy burger (both of which were fresh and juicy) and we split an order of sweet potato fries that were the best I've ever had: crisp, lightly salted, and you could really taste the sweet potato. Friendly, courteous, and accommodating staff, and clean interior. We'll be back :)

I'm not sure what the reason was that the bathroom stall was unavailable, but I know the pain of waiting to use it. Sorry to hear that Doug Anyhow, my experience eating at Joe's has been what I ordered. The staff is familiar with their burgers and ingredients, and they recommended that I start with a classic chzburger. I ended up applying for a position too! All in all a positive experience. Pretty good and cheap eats downtown. The burger was made well and the fries were crispy and delicious. The shake was pretty good as well. My only two complaints were the amount of sauce put on the burger (way too much, in my opinion.) and the chili I got on my chili-cheese fries. (Just the normal chili, not the veggie chili. I didn't try the veggie kind, so it may be amazing.) It tasted like it came from a can - it just tasted kinda off. I ended up just eating around it. Still, those are two minor nitpicks about a generally great place. Would still definitely come back!

First time visit today. Two of us had Cheeseburgers and one had a BLT. Two with Fries One with Tots. Two soft drinks and one Milkshake. All was great. Surface was super and food was excellent. The sauce they use on the burgers is great, no need for additional ketchup or mustard. The Tots were a nice surprise, fried perfectly. My Coke was mixed perfectly and the report on the seasonal shake was very good. While this was our first visit it will not be our last. Thanks for the great experience...

First of all, I was looking for a burger, french fries, a great shake and a place to hangout with my Church friends - I am proud to say I found it! :) The burgers are very pleasurable and tasty, their fries are perfection (from the 80's style), the layout of the restaurant is enjoyable and pleasant and they always play music and play the games on their large flat screen TVs (they have 2 on both sides of the restaurant. The shake was like the BEST! Totally recommend! I currently work at the Church of Scientology a couple blocks away and a large percentage go to Joe's Burgers every week! It is hard to pass up!

Joe's Burgers is straight forward. It smells, looks, feels, and tastes like a burger place. It's simple ingredients that make up this simple menu. I like it. I ordered a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries for takeout. My order was packaged in a traditional cardboard box just like an old fashion drive thru. Not that I'm old enough to known what that was like. I'd go here again.
