Sweet Hereafter

This is one of my favorite bars and restaurants in PDX, and for good reason. The food is on point. The drinks are creative, interesting, and always delicious. The atmosphere, lighting, decorations are all lovely. All kinds of folks gather here and I feel safe as a queer person hanging out here. The staff that served me tonight were genuinely friendly and I observed them to be very kind and generous with their service to other customers. Not to mention they seem to all be kind to each other, which as a customer who has worked in the service industry, is both notable and something to celebrate. Cherry on top is that they are hosting cute events like poetry gatherings. Sweet Hereafter - love you and stay here forever unduplicated and unbranded in your authentic Portland vibe.

I'm so happy that I found this gem of a place! All the cocktails I had were delicious, especially the Aperol Sour!! I also had the Mac & Cheese which was one of the best ones I've ever had (the bacon bits were a great add!) Oh, and the fact that it's fully vegan is the reason I will be returning every time I'll be back in Portland. Highly recommended!!

This is one of the first spots I tried when I moved to Portland 2.5 years ago. I enjoy their brunch menu. The Benedict is amazing, I recommend trying it! The staff are always extremely kind and the service is good as well. The area out back is super nice, I like that you can partially be outside but still protected from the elements in case of rain or cold weather. Definitely worth checking out!

I’m pretty sure every great date I’ve ever been on started here, and I can tell you why. The food is delicious and cocktails are equally so, though I usually go with wine because I’m boring. The seating is abundant and toasty, the staff is wonderful and in case you want to add some whimsy to your date? There’s a Magic Box Vending machine … highly recommend the overnight bag if things are going well…

Got a grilled cheese with pesto and the hummus with bread! The grilled cheese was phenomenal and the hummus was good, but I wish they did something extra with the bread. It was pretty plain slightly tough, and it would’ve benefitted from being toasted or something at the very least. But would still definitely come back again!
